Good news guys good news!!! Just got off the phone, and I am getting the TP2 tomorrow (free express delivery).
I simply called them told them that over the weekend (didnt actually call this time...) I was offered the BB Curve, HTC Snap, Treo Pro, HTC Hero, and HTC TP2 and that I wanted to look them over and call back. I called back on Sunday and this is when they said the TP was back in stock, I told them that I didnt want another TP and woudl call Sprint and see if they could help. Called this mourning and did not mention the Hero as I think this is what got me in trouble to begin with. Just said I needed to talk to a supervisor. Supervisor got on phone told her I got confilicting replacement phones and she offered me the TP2 with free express shipping, so easy. Didnt have to argue or plead.... Now to look over my ROM options for the TP2... thanks for the help guys and hopefully this helps someone else. |

got my confirmation as well today. talked to asurion..they wudnt do anything for me so i asked for transfer to tech support and told them i was offered the blackberry, treo, and htc tp2 as an replacement over the weekend and i was just calling them back for the touch pro 2. worked like a charm did not have to talk to a supervisor. said they wud ship within 2 days i just have to give back the touch pro 1.

Im one of those dudes that just looks around in the forums but doesnt actually post or ask questions. today i have an exception however. i have a story to tell.
On 10-16...i lost my phone at MSG. I was pretty upset because now i know i had to pay a hundred bucks just to get a replacement of a phone that has so many known problems. But anyways, i filed my claim and by monday sure enough i received my refurbished touch pro. For some reason i decided to leave the plastic on my phone...i dont know why. But by the end of the day i got fed up and just peeled off everything. Thats when i noticed that the directional pad had hairline cracks around it. I called up assurion and they said they said that all phones should not come cosmetically defective in any way. The rep said that he would send out a replacement phone and i should be receiving it on wednesday. I asked him if i would be receiving a new phone or a refurbished and he said probably a refurbished because the new ones were on back order. (BTW, i filed this claim the night before this thread even started) Anyways, wednesday came and went and i still did not have the replacement phone or even a tracking number. I finally called back on Friday and they said that the TP was on back order but i would be receiving my replacement TP on monday (still no tracking number). Over the weekend a kept checking the status of my claim online and it still had not updated. When i got into work this morning, i came in with the intention of picking a fight with assurion and try to get them to send me a phone other than the TP since it was back order. After the rep heard me *****ing about not getting my replacement, she finally told me that she had a tracking number and that i would receive the phone today. Well...i got the phone and its a brand new TP2! Look at that...the reps didnt even know that i was getting that. I would think that would be something to mention dont you? Anyways i am very happy that i got this and i wanted to share this with everyone here. |

Mine has been out for delivery since 5:15 am and the UPS factory is only 10 minutes from me. I hate how they deliver all day and then come to my house in the afternoon. As usual I expect my UPS delivery [just like all others] to come in around 3 pm. I will update after I get my shipment later today
