Re: Asurion replacing TP with TP2

Apparently, the cut off was Saturday about 3pm eastern time. That was the time the first person reported here that the tp's were back in stock. I got mine at about 10am saturday. Whew! Lucky me.

Well damn. I called saturday morning as well and was told that the systems were down. I was given 2 options: either call back in 30 minutes and maybe the computers up or she can do the order manually by hand. Of course, I said I'll call back in 30 minutes but called back in 10 minutes and the systems were back up. Lucky me. I got my conformation email at about 2pm yesterday. My TP2 wil be here tomorrow.

I think he means that he wasnt offered one at all. Not that he hasn't received an already ordered one in that allotment of time

yes I got a confirmation email, but it doesn't say the device in there and now i'm kind of nervous that I'll suddenly get a refurbbed TP on monday. *twiddles thumbs*

You are correct... I called a week ago monday to get a replacement TP for my broken one, they didn't have any in stock and offered me a HTC Snap or Touch Diamond... I told them I'm not stepping down and asked about TP2 they said they're not issuing TP2s for TPs and to call again in 3-5 days, I called again this past Thursday, this time they offered me a Blackberry Curve... again I declined, informed them I wasn't stepping down, asked if they would give me a TP2 instead, they said they are not giving TP2s as replacements for TPs. They did put me on a back order list... Friday I received an email stating that a TP is being sent to me... Since it's the weekend, I'm not getting it til Monday.

Damn, that sucks man. You should have demanded to speak to a supervisor like we all did. You have to let them know that you NEED YOUR PHONE ASAP and CANNOT wait 3-5 business days. They tried that with me and I explained that it was not acceptable. She said "well, there's nothing we can do for you" That's when I asked for a supervisor. THen he took care of everything.

I just called assurion and the person that answered confirmed a TP2 was being sent to me so I'm at ease on that. Now, the only question for me is whether it will be NIB or refurb. I'll definitely be happy with whatever I get. The lady told me they sent a battery and charger, so I'm assuming it's a refurb.

I haven't heard of anyone getting a refurbed. All have been NIB so I think you should be good.
