I'm curious as to why you went through Assurion and not Sprint...or how you even did that. Was your TP from them?

Re: Sprint replacing Touch Pro with Touch Pro 2!
After all the problems i was having last week with my touch pro. I called and complained, and called and complained, and call and said screw em. They just sent me a new touch pro. Oh well i still have a phone to talk on, of course i would have prefered a TP2

Re: Sprint replacing Touch Pro with Touch Pro 2!
i called today because my refurb replacement that i received friday was messed up. the rep over the phone was sending me another refurb. i told him the cs rep said that there has been many problems with the touch pro. he said yes and the are some other phones i could choose from. he named the 4 phones available( 1 being tp2). he told me because i have had more than 3 phones in a 12 month span i have to go into the store. i had him add the notes stating that i could have one of the 4 phones.
at the store the rep tries to order me the tp2 but couldnt. he actually should me on his screen where it says that they are out of them in the warehouse. told me to check back every week until its available. |

Re: Sprint replacing Touch Pro with Touch Pro 2!
Sorry to all without sucess stories yet but.....
My TP dpad failed today, so I brought it into Sprint hoping for a TP2 but expecting to get a refurb TP..... I was greeted then signaled to the counter, the rep asked how he could help me, I explained that the dpad wasn't working right.... The dpad wouldn't respond on the left side, probably from it being raised and losing contact with the board after being that way for 2 months and me pushing on it to make calls or go to home screen.... Showed him what was going on visually with it and said I need it repaired.... He grabbed the TP, checked it out himself, asked for my phone number to pull up my account info..... *tense moment* He tells me that he wasn't even gonna have the tech even look at it... So I'm thinking he comes BS, I was thinking he was gonna hand me an Assurion card even though this store had always treated me well....*Paranoia from the stories from this thread....LOL* Then says he gonna have to order me a phone and that I can keep this phone til the replacement reaches the store and that someone from the store will contact me to come pick it up..... Then he says But.... the replacement phone would be a TP2 since I had already had four separate issues on different occasions with the TP..... So trying to hold back a smile and any sign that I had any idea that I knew that some ppl were getting TPs replaced with the TP2's , i thank him and walk fast but not too fast out the door.... I go home, 10 minutes away from the store, sit down, hug my kids because before I had went to Sprint I had been at work for couple hours..... Phone rings, caller ID shows the Sprint store number...... First thought, Paranoia sets in again from reading this thread, I'm thinking OMG they are calling to say wither out of stock at warehouse or possibly even to say that I wouldn't be getting the TP2 at all.... So I calm down and think oh well atleast my DPAD will get fixed..... I answer, he states that they made a mistake.... HE TELLS ME THE REP SHOULD OF JUST GIVEN ME A NIB while I was up there instead of trying to order it from the warehouse..... The rep tells me that if I'd like and have time to, that I could come back up there and pick up the replacement.... I was sorda happy and sad, I luved my TP but it kept breaking.... the phone and I hate had a love hate relationship going on.....LOL My TP has had KB failure twice, sreen failure, and then dpad failure.... So good luck to all that have had LEGITIMATE PROBLEMS with the TP..... Last edited by MinLo; 11-24-2009 at 05:04 AM. |

Re: Sprint replacing Touch Pro with Touch Pro 2!
We haven't had any issues with our TPs up til last week. My keyboard started getting intermittant. I took it to the local repair store and they were able to reproduce the problem. They orderd me a NIB TP2. Had it now for 5 days and while I miss the directional pad, it is growing on me.
Looks to me like depending on the store you have near you, some are more aggressive about getting the TP out of service. My handset problem should have been a pretty simple fix I would think. Odd that they chose to just flat out swap it. |
