Re: Bad Replacement Touch Pro

I have had 5 or 6 now. All different issues. I am thinking about getting rid of mine for good. Unless I can get the TP2 for free...

Re: Replacement phone getting data error.

Try this:
Start -> System -> Update Porfile..

Or

You may have to ##3282# - Restore

I had the same issue about 3 weeks ago...

I don't have update profile icon running custom rom. Let me try the restore.

Unhappy Keyboard dead...replacement?

Well, my keyboard finally decided to **** out on me. It's been fritzy for a few days, popped it open yesterday and it worked for a few minutes...now it's just plain dead. Anyone know of any retailer that sells the entire keyboard portion of the phone? Or at least all the internals... Sprint TP's go for $150+ on eBay but I'd like to save some money if possible.

Re: Keyboard dead...replacement?

could have searched for something like this as I
posted about my keyboard last week...

take it to a corporate Sprint store and have them replace it for free. the keyboard they will replace it with is better than the originals.

Re: Keyboard dead...replacement?

I'm not on Sprint, that's the thing. Would they replace without being a Sprint customer (for a fee maybe)? The MEID/ESN of the TouchPro can be changed now, only reason I mentioned Sprint (Sprint TP's are the most widely available CDMA version that isn't gimped). Since the phone was bought outside of my Verizon contract, I don't have TEP on it either.

Re: Keyboard dead...replacement?

The same thing happened to me the other day and I took it in and in less then twenty-five minutes I had a brand new keyboard, but I have Sprint. I also agree with MIL, it's feels better than the stock board.

You could try getting a bricked TP and hoping the keyboard works. There are instructions on how to remove the keyboard floating around out there. My brother buys bricked flip phones all the time to fix phones... worth a try.

Sprint replacing for TP2

Anyone had any luck getting the TP replaced by sprint for a TP2? I have had mine replaced at least 3 times and is going dead again with multiple issues. I'm willing to pay a little to upgrade, i'm just not willing to pay 600 bucks. more like 50, given the TPs i have had are just plain faulty.

yes i searched.

Re: Sprint replacing for TP2

I've read some posts on other forums of Sprint users getting cheap upgrades to the TP2, even as low as what you are looking to spend. But it DOES seem quite difficult, as it should be. I remember back in Feb/Mar how many people swapped out their Moguls for TPs. It was like Christmas or something. Most of them had legitimate issues, like you have been experiencing with your TP. Best of luck to you in getting a phone that will once again remind you of the joy it is in being a Sprint customer.
