similar thing happened to me. i was coming down my porch stairs and the case just opened up and the phone came jumping out of it onto the concrete floor. it got smushed in on one corner and all scratched up. this velcro case is the worst case ever because only after two months the velcro would not velcro good.

i hate the OEM velcro case that comes with the sprint tp.
i've been using my OEM magnetic case that came with my sprint mogul (titan) and it works perfectly. its a little big for the TP but its still a lot nicer than the velcro case and it doesn't make that annoying velcro sound that everyone hates. especially when you're in a quiet room with a lot of people and you need pull out the phone to do something.

BS, I have a magnetic leather case and the screen works fine. Who told you that it damages the screen? They went to velcro because it is cheaper.

People seriously, the hard cases are like $20 at Best Buy, if you had that, you wouldn't have this issue of a scratched surface on your phone. Sorry to hear that happened to you, but get one of those hard cases. I have a hard case on, and I stick it on my velcro pouch, the thickness of the hard case helps to keep my device in the pouch, even if the velcro comes undone!!!

except the hard cases are hard to get on/off and some like to swap batteries and mem cards alot.
why not really commit and get new pants with a holder sewn in.
