Re: I should sue htc/sprint this velcro case suck
haha what it comes down to is that most people are going to have problems with the velcro case.
the people who don't have problems with the velcro case are hard core anal people who like to take care of things so they last for 30 years - which isn't a bad thing. But most people aren't like that. Someone said it best "the phone was more quickly damaged by the velcro case than one with magnets." It's not about being sue happy, it's about the consumer being able to purchase an "expensive" device and have it work properly as-is. Not to have to go buy products from seidio online. Anyhow, i added some stuff to my wiki in my sig about the seidio products if you guys care for it. oh yeah and my chrome is falling off too after 1 spill onto a plastice filing case and carpet! hahaha ridiculous. gl

Re: I should sue htc/sprint this velcro case suck
Reading this thread, and how people purposely damage their phone (not the OP, but others telling him how to get a replacement), make me upset. You people are the reason the Asurion claims are going up, and reason we stopped covering physical damage.
You'll probably be the reason we stop covering PDAs all together as well. Think about that the next time you purposely damage your phone to get a replacement. |

Re: I should sue htc/sprint this velcro case suck
the problem with the original case and the tp is the chrome. unlike the titan, it would just get scratched up.
the tp likes to keep on keepin on when it comes to chipping chrome. the case sucks. it's not easy to get the phone in or out of. The reason is the bands on the ends which keep the phone from sliding forwards or backwards out of the case. The case sucked even for the titan if you ask me. but hey what do i know? my $500 for each of 3 devices don't mean ****e right? So i'll just take it like they give... |

Re: I should sue htc/sprint this velcro case suck
The velcro case and who has trouble with it or not depends on your clothing. Depending on what your location and climate are you like me may be wearing several layers of clothing which can "interact" with the exposed velcro and pull the flap open accidently. During the winter I wear a cloth vest that sometimes snags the velcro flap and tugs the flap open. As Spring approaches I will forego the cloth vest and that will solve the problem for me. I really liked the magnetic closure on the mogul case and tried to order a case for the TP before I even got the phone from an advertiser in the banner on this site. It turned out to be velcro also and was so tight it immediately caused programs to start and screen presses due to the phone waking up on incoming email and sms while in the pouch. I sent the case back and got a refund and have since started using the beta version of "PocketShield"; a screen locking program that although takes some getting used to, does eliminate the random program starting and button presses in the case.
I still long for a decent magnet closure case for my TP but will continue following the threads relating to this on this site before I make another purchase. John |
