Thing is, the battery would be down to 50% by the time I woke up. I want to start my day with a solid charge. Every other phone I've owned has been capable of this. I would think this would too. Unless we are giving HTC a free pass on this issue as well.

I hear ya Scrap, aren't you getting a good signal where you at? Mine will go down 10% overnight. It may be worth putting that Biatch on Roam only overnight if that may help...IAs soon as I wake up I plug it back and go out with 100%

Re: TP Locking Up Overnight

I never had this problem until last night when installed manila control. My pro didn't lock up , but when the alarm went off at 4:45am , manila still said 10:00pm.

I think I got 60-70% signal, according to my logs last night.

Funny thing is, several times during the night, I lost cell reception altogether. I don't know if these are typical tower updates/etc, but I would not have ever noticed this without these logs.

I can say for last two days, when I woke up, (before I had a lock-up,) my S2U2 clock was off by HOURS, and didn't update until I unlocked it.

I wonder if something is going into an infinite-loop, and is lagging the system so bad that it literally loses track of time?

Re: TP Locking Up Overnight

Well I still have yet to have these problems since hard resesting and turning off device after ... while plugged in and unchecking the today timeout (er crap, maybe I did have it happen once?).

I am planning on taking my phone in this week to hopefully get it replaced, but its going to be very hard to ever rely on it now... I will probably forever have to set an alarm clock in addition to my phone, until/unless they release an update that specifically states it fixes this problem...

They won't. The first Touch had similar issues. Although with the custom 6.1 ROMs it went away immediately.

Come to think of it, I guess the "Official" WM6.1 ROM for the Touch ended up fixing it as well. Only the original WM6.0 ROM had the issue.

Did someone say this was happening on a custom ROM that is utilitizing a different BUILD?

Although, I set my alarm the night before last and it didn't lock up while charging. I'm at a loss....

I purchased my phone from Best Buy running the stock ROM with some tweaks and regedits. I've p a ssed the 30 day period so I don't know if I can get it replaced now

EDIT: why does it edit the word p a s s e d??
Mine locked up for the first time since i did the same thing you did with your phone. I went almost 3 weeks without it freezing and it decides to lock up on the morning I have a final and made me late 30 minutes

Wow, that is unacceptable. Get it replaced.

So many people use their cell phones as their alarms, that something as basic as this should work properly.
