Worst part is it's so random, and never know when it'll hit.
It will probably hit on the most important day of your life, and you will wake up late because you use it for an alarm, (like most people.)

With the phone off, hold down the volume down button, enter and hit the reset button with the stylus on the bottom.

Or you can go in Start > settings > System Tab > Clear Storage

If you want to hard-reset without waiting forever for it to shut off, or go through the menu, just do this:

1. Position your left fingers over the power and volume-down keys.
2. Push the reset button with your stylus.
3. Immediately push and hold the center d-pad/ok button, power, and volume-down keys.

Follow on-screen instructions.

Re: TP Locking Up Overnight

All of you who still own a Pro/are having these issues... have you called HTC/Sprint to light fire to get this issue addressed?

It should not be up to us to fix every damn problem with the phone...

Re: TP Locking Up Overnight

I haven't... I purchased mine through Best Buy, so any time it starts acting up, I just go to get it replaced. Still only on my second despite the issues with this one... Damn the early October manufacture date!

I did a hard reset quite a few weeks ago, and have not been having freezing issues, using the same software, and I have NOT unchecked the today timeout. I'm doing everything the exact same and it's not freezing up any more. The hard reset has cured it... though I don't want to have to do that every few weeks... Hell, I don't even think I've made it 24+ hours without soft resetting it once, I toy with it too much :P The uptime meter never makes it much past 20 hours.
