Same for me also. Was watching tv using slingplayer then after a while the battery warning popped up. The phone was warm but getting hot. I plugged in the charger and it wouldnt charge what so ever. So I had to let it shut down and let it charge on its own.

Now on my mogul when this happened with slingplayer running it would charge and let me still watch what I was watching. The only time an instance like this would happen back then is while using wmwifirouter. However I didnt even install it on the Pro just cause of that issue. Didnt expect it to happen with reg programs too.

Hopefully a fix soon

add me to the list...I used to be able to stream music in my car with the touch and charge, but when the pro heats up, it stops charging...very annoying. however, when I just play music from my storage card, it charges fine since its not using the radio...

not a common problem for the Pro i have.

i was on the phone with sprint 2.5 hrs, used gps for another hr or so and made SEVERAL txts, calls, and e-mails and this thing is working lovely. didnt have to put backup battery in at all.

at first this phone was horrible on battery usage but after sometime its GREATTTTT!!!!!!

Were you attempting to charge it during all this? I believe that causes extra heat--just enough to trip the "protection," and causes a lot of problems.

I noticed that my battery lasted LONGER when I was OFF the charger, then when I had it in, on my conference call...

this was on and off the charger. havent had a problem for a cpl days now with the battery on the phone. like i said though, at first it was very very very crappy but not it seems to be going good, actually GREAT...

I suggest not to use the phone as a wifi router or using GPS the phone will get extremely hot. The battery will totally drain. Without the those type of usuage my phone can almost last a whole day with minimal usage.

no issue for me as well build 10/18 or 19 cant tell right now using the phone to access the internet while at work lol

Taking your phone back will not fix an issue with the phone overheating.
They will all do it. If somebody here is saying their's works fine, they probably have the device in an area where heat dissipation causes the phone to stay charging.

All 5 of my moguls overheated during data usage and phone usage.
I heavily use data.
The touch pro is even worse then the mogul at overheating.
I take the back plate off and set the device on a heat sync, it works very well. It's crude and effective. Though my heat sync was modified to fit the mogul battery.
I notice the heat build up on the TP is just above the battery.

Heat damages batteries, so heat protection is good.
I've ruined 2 mogul batteries due to over heating them so often.

This is just something I think we are going to have to face in the next few years with this technology.

Better roms and radio's should help with battery life and overheating though.
