just give it some time on fixes, everyone is working on the new system so things won't be working perfect for some time still. yes it's true, 2.2 is working on the tp. running since yesterday. everything is still being worked on so it's an alpha build.

hopefully makk will put together a new package. some new things should be out in the next 24hrs or so (gps, hopefully wifi) so don't expect it right away.
in the meantime if you feel like playing, head over to the other thread on xda and grab some files. |

mms still looks the same for 2.2, can send but not receive.
weird side effect, when i updated the info in my apn i lost data, nothing new, but it would not come back. had to restart to get it back. Last edited by hamagc; 06-28-2010 at 03:48 PM. |

I have a feeling that is an interaction between either ifup/ifconfig. might be kernel related. I have had some similar issues on enable/disable wifi under recent debian builds too.

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro -- Now working on Verizon! And with GPS!
My guess would be that the lagginess is due to the 2.2 system, which is probably in an even-more-unoptimized state than 2.1 and previous. There's nothing in the startup.txt that will save you from that.
In other news, out of the blue, sleep started working just fine on the RAPH500. Maybe I just wasn't giving it enough time before -- or I was starting some application that wakelocked and wouldn't let go. Anyway, since I don't actually use the phone on it, I put it in airplane mode and tested the battery life. At 32 hours and going strong (though when I turn it on to check, it says to connect the charger...which I guess doesn't tell me much.) Still not quite right (a sleeping phone in airplane mode should last weeks), but it's not bad. (Edit: Sometime between hour 32 and hour 36 it gave up the ghost. I'll take it. Now if we could just get half that with the radio on.) Last edited by makkonen; 06-29-2010 at 08:32 AM. |
