Thanks for the quick response. Sorry, I wasn't fully clear about the situation: "Exchange" Server is actually Kerio Connect 7.0.1 (used to be Kerio Mailserver). This is my company's server and I run it with full and sole access (meaning I am MailGod...for better or for worse hehehe) including physical server access. Any changes that need to be done can (and will) be done in the name of Android. Android I salute you. Anyway, the contacts from Facebook sync all right. I do NOT use Gmail (I had to create a Gmail account just to start using Android! ) so I'm not sure. Calendar and emails from Kerio are syncing beautifully! Weird right? UPDATE: I looked at the contacts again and it's a seemingly random assortment from last names that begin with A, B or C...nothing below that in the alphabet. Bizarre. BTW, I blew away the XDAndroid install and re-did it with the same results. Last edited by 88fingerslukee; 04-14-2010 at 12:32 PM. |

I'm running thru my head anything that would prevent it, and everything I come up with concludes at "well you wouldn't get any contacts then..." I can't explain why you would only get some of your contacts. It's a really poor recommendation, but just for grins. Add some contacts to your GMail. Heck if you want export all your contacts from your exchange server and import them into GMail. Then break the cxn to your exchange server and see if GMail can sync all the contacts available. If that works, then we know the phone/build of Android is not the issue (which, it probably isn't...) Since you are the mail server's admin, make sure all your rights are OK. Again, if your rights were hosed I would think that you wouldn't get any contacts at all... Unfortunately my company uses GroupWise, so I don't really have any way to test a private exchange server. I've always used Google Sync with my GMail account and never had any problems with it - in WinMo or Android. |

Okay, so this worked no problem. Contacts import from Gmail just fine. My rights are definitely fine on the server so I don't know what's going on. This server definitely has support for Android phones and it works just fine with all platforms. Also, when I check the Kerio forums looking for sync issues with Android, I only find email problems, contacts seem to work great for everybody. Are Facebook pictures supposed to sync with contacts? They aren't. |

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)
Hrm... Well I'd say something with your config on the phone or on your server. So when you setup your exchange server in WinMo you get all your contacts?
You said you've already deleted your data.img and tried re-syncing? Perhaps you can try another user on the exchange server, either a co-worker or just create a bogus test user, see if that makes any difference. Unfortunately I don't know what exactly the hold up would be... partially getting contacts is definitely a strange issue tho. Oh, and I think the facebook sync is separate of your normal contacts... someone correct me if I'm wrong there. I think it's just to sync stuff to your facebook account - pics, etc. |

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)
also does it mess up at the same contact? could it be the format of that contact that is giving you grief?

I'll also try another user and get back to you. |

This is difficult for me to determine because there is no sync status that I can tell. Also, it's not like it's getting ALL the A's or ALL the C's (these are last names I'm talking about), it's just getting random ones. |

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)
Is there a preferred way to format my SD card? Right now I'm doing FAT32 with 32KB blocks but I'm happy to do ext2 or whatever.
