Custom rom - The latest 2.5 Energy Rom. It still hasn't finished yet... no idea what's going on... the screen turns blank every couple of minutes unless I tap it. If I slide the keyboard open, the black screen goes away. Stuff scrolls every once in a while. I didn't have anything running beforehand besides the phone, total commander and whatever resident programs run.

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)

thats really weird. i would prob. start from scratch replacing everything in the package. i don't see any of the issues you listed. i'm running a 2.1 rom but i doubt that makes much difference.

on a side note, something odd has happened with my messages.suddenly my message time format changed on me. now half my messages say sent: Feb. 23, 2010 (both, sent & received). the other half say the time it was sent (both, sent & received). it doesn't look like it knows the difference between sent and received messages.

i just deleted all of the messages, we'll see if it does it the same way.

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)

When I run haret.exe it boots but during this it stops because of the following:

3.448486 mmc1 Command timeout

What can I do in order to make it work? Been searching this topic on it for ages now.

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)

I'm not sure it's working for you. Is the text that's scrolling by intermittently just the same block over and over again? Saying something about hung_task_timeout?

My guess is that it failed to mount because of the way the partitions are setup on your sdcard, and it needs to be repartitioned. (Before it says 'failed to mount', is there a line about mmcblk0: p1 < p5 > ?) If so, I still don't know a good application to fix that (aside from GParted in linux).

I think I will restart and see what happens. Question - Do I need to open/extract those gz and tar zipped files, or should I just have about 8 files and 3 folders (with files in them)?

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)

no you don't extract anything. you should have the following files on the root of your sdcard:

data.img (after first run)
haret.exe
initrd.gz
modules-x.x.xx-xxxxx-xxxxxxxxx.tar.gz
rootfs.img
startup.txt
system.sqsh
ts-calibration (after first boot)
zimage

you will also have some folders. i have everything in the root of my sdcard so i can't tell what folders are winmo and android anymore lol.

Are you sure you have a CDMA touch pro? does your phone have a sim card?

It stops at different points. Nothing about hung_task_timeout? My SD-card is just one partition and there is no mmcblk0: p1 < p5 > listed.

Maybe I should format the SD card and try it again?

both sent and received items are marked as "Sent: " and the time.
