Re: Sprint now replacing Touch Pro w/ Touch Pro 2!
One of my lines has a TP on it that I have replaced twice now for locking up after long calls or heavy Internet usage (over 1 hour). Don't make calls that long very often, but when we do, it gets pretty warm and I suspect they are overheating.
Anyways, my 3rd TP replacement in the last 6 months is on its way. Asked about TP2 and was shown their list which had a HTC snap as the replacement for the TP 1. I asked them how a Windows mobile standard phone would be considered a replacement for a Windows mobile pro operating system? They had no answer other than that's what the list shows. The replacement for the Snap is the Touch Pro 2. On a side note, when I brought the last TP to them for testing, they had it for over an hour. They then gave it back and said there were no problems with it. I left the store and looked at the call log. They made a few 5 minute calls and that's all they did to test my issue. Went back in and asked them why they did this when I clearly explained it took well over an hour before the phone started flaking out. They then said they would order a TP1 replacement. They didn't apologize for trying to get one past me with the "testing". One of their techs even said I would be back with the replacement they are ordering as the issue I explained is a known issue...go figure.

Re: Sprint now replacing Touch Pro w/ Touch Pro 2!
hey lucky for some people there customer service stories was a sucess but as for me ive been boiling my blood under my skin going through this. And no i havent said one cuss word to any sprint rep just a little tone (loud) change in my voice because of being treated like a idot. I would have not been so pissed if it was one or maybe two reps out of the 10 reps i talked to but it was more like the other way around out of 10 reps only two wanted to help me get my replacement and those two reps ended with a sorry its out of stock all the other reps were hanging up on me transfering me to the wrong department claming that the advance option no longer exsists all kinds of crap even some of there supervisors at customer service were telling me i had no options but to accept a touch pro bottom line. So yesterday i got one rep to look at my notes on my account and i told him a TP2 has been promised to me as soon as it gets in stock for the warehouse
this would be the technical support line using a advance option getting a reconditioned TP2 from thier warehouse <-----this is the correct path for me to achive my TP2. As a matter of fact i was promised this TP2 before they changed any kind of disqualifying the advance option thing. So i had recorded my last conversation and i will upload it if you guys are interested. I will be suprised if i still get it even though the rep said yeah we should have more in a couple of days ill leave the ticket open just call back then and its noted in here to get you going on your TP2 im the only one who well you can hear for yourself will upload after i bleep out my information on the convo -----Later |

Wow, Sprint is acknowledging an issue that has been so bad of a product liability that is doing swaps to TP2 and you seem to have a hard time understanding why a person could become so upset?? You "kindly show" them the exit? I think you might even be the reason some customers do not want to deal with some of the "challenged" employees that work in the stores. These phones are actually used for Big Boy business by some people and I would surmise tht there have been potential business deals worth more money than you make in several years, lost due to a defective phone or network drop issue. When people spend hard earned money, they expect good products. You should be grateful that many customers do not switch to less expensive carrier service , different phones, or what ever. You, choose to be a slave of a retail outlet , you are not some high and mighty decision maker . BUT,,,evidently there are some at Sprint (thank goodness) that are smart enough to recognize an issue every now and then and do something about it. I might even venture to say, that maybe Dan Hesse used a TP and had some issues and maybe thats why they are taking care of their customer base...... hmmmmm. Funny, when I hear or read someone like you , (who is usually so late on product info that all the store employess crowd around and asks a customer questions when they come into the store with a new TP2) I laugh also, because I just think of the fact that the majority of educated users know to avoid the stores in the first place... Thank goodness for telesales , online sales ,and advance exchanges......sorry, stepping down from my soapbox now Last edited by lefty11; 10-13-2009 at 01:40 PM. |

Did you record the audio of the conversation? Did you tell them you were recording it?
If not, you can't post it... or at least take it outside of ppcgeeks. |
