SPRINT Touch Pro 2 -Official price drop information

I understand some of the complaints that go on here. And then I understand what others are saying by the fact that in the long run, you're still better off on Sprint than Verizon. Trust me I found out first hand.

My friend who has a Touch phone had a problem a couple weeks ago. He doesn't have internet or texting (lame, I know). Anyways, so he goes to Verizon to have them fix a problem. I find out that if he were to even accidentally press the internet button, he would be charged $29.99 for the month just by pressing on the internet button. Talk about a rip off that is Verizon.

Anyways, my point is that sprint should be doing the same thing for everyone that paid for the Touch Pro 2 phone. It's about being fair to everyone. I also blame whoever came up with this pricing method. Why should T-Mo and Sprint pay for the more expensive price than say Verizon when the phones are all virtually the same? I believe there should be one price across all the 4 major carriers.

By the way, I too was able to get $155 credited back to my account.

Ok seriously some of these replies are just ignorant. You want the phone to be cheaper and get frustrated when it isnt... and at the same time you complain about how high verizons plans are compared to Sprint. So you want them to give you the phone cheap AND give you the cheap plan. I mean... you do realize Sprint needs money to maintain the network right? I mean they have to make their money somewhere ya know? I felt like the tp2 wasnt worth the upgrade but you dont see me whining about the price mainly because I understand how a business works.

+1. sprint is a great company if you live in the coverge area. to those threatening to cancel if they do not get the phone for that price they should also take into acct how much money they will save over the new 2 yr agreement with sprint than with verizon. i am not here to bash another company, but if you live in a good sprint coverage area why keep complaining about what another company does. What if sprint gave you the phones for the verizon price, but in return had you pay the regular verizon price for your plan. Would this be more acceptable for you?

Ok first, everyone with SERO doesn't count. You get a great price, we get it. But SERO is less than 1% of all sprint customers. Meanwhile, in the big Sprint VS Verizon debate, it simply comes down to the fact that you're paying more (upfront) for the same product. Why do people use Rent-a-centers? Why do people get credit cards and pay 22% interest? Why do people use COUPONS? Because they want it cheap, they want it now, and they want it cheap AND now.

Cell companies make money off your contract, your two-year contract. They give you discounted and free phones to get your 2 years. Sprint's sticking it to regular customers, both in the 350$, and also in the "sorry you aren't business, we don't give a flying bleep about you, go ahead and go to verizon what do we care". This is just bad business. THIS is why people are upset. Not because we're saying we want cheap plans AND cheap phones, but because Sprint is saying "screw you, we're cheaper plans so we can do whatever we want and we don't care if you don't shop with us"... which is stupid, because they're hemmoraging customers. But whatever.

WOW so after 12 calls to customer service, 5 emails to e-care, 4 online chat sessions with e-chat - I tried E-care again and was told the following

I proceed to call telesales and the lady says her system is displaying the online price of $349.99 I gave her my e-mail reference number and gave me someone's email address to speak to directly and reference my e-care confirmation...we will see how things go. If it works for me i would be glad to share the email because I know how tough it is to get this deal... I've been trying for 2weeks with nothing more than rejections. at least I now have an email from ecare quoting me that price !!!

My story, After so many calls, chats, email, e-care mails, I also got the same reply like jamal33 got.

The lady quoted the price as $199 in the email, but she wanted me to go to a Sprint store or call telesales. I called up telesales, but the SERO offces are closed now. Will try first thing in the morning! Lets see how it goes..
