I got my phone billed to my account by a rep and he is working on giving me the adjustment as we speak. I never mail in rebates. I always get them up front through credits. I did it with the pro and now the pro 2. Hopefully we'll be successful!

Thank you for contacting Sprint regarding the Price of the HTC Touch Pro
2.

Unfortunately, we are not offering the HTC Touch Pro 2 at the reduced
price of $199.99 with the price match of Verizon. This is the reason it
cannot be offered.

The online price of the HTC Touch Pro 2 handset is $349.99 with instant
saving of $150.00 and mail-in-rebate of $100.00 and it requires a
02-year agreement. This is the reason the handset have been offered to
you at this price.

My guess is that some reps are getting confuse with the details of the price change and they are giving price adjustments to normal costumers. the same happen when people were saying the TP2 was not going to be available on the old sero plans, yet some reps didn't care and sold the phones anyway.
I spent an hour on the phone with Sprint yesterday going over this with them after someone I know DID get the phone for $199. I own a business (albiet a small one ..I am INC.) however, they would not give me the diff in a credit back. They did however, give me an automated $10 a month reduction in my bill for the next twelve months as a token of "customer protection/retention" goodwill...wasn't a total loss of a phone call afterall!

I called the number listed above earlier this week and was granted a $100 credit towards my account. Not a huge fan of Sprint Customer Service, but the person on the phone was very helpful and there was no haggling.

i actually called yesterday and did get the credit after about 15 minutes on the phone. the guy was very helpful and seemed pretty desperate for a good customer service review. he said i should have a 150 dollar credit on my next bill. lets hope that happens.

i just got my second touch pro 2 from sprint at the price match of 199 after the mail in rebate. this one only took me 2 calls to retentions and it was put through for me should see this one by the upcoming tuesday after work. my gf will be very happy and she was pissed this morning bc her touch pro keyboard just failed so main reason i got her a new device but wasnt gonna go with a touch pro when its bound to have problems again. so i called retentions got denied once then the second time 2 hours later i got hooked up with an awesome rep that said that it ws no problem at all to give me that deal was almost to easy just like last friday for me and my tp2. super happy about these deals. keep trying its bound to happen the number i called is 877-775-4886 for both times and they were very happy to help me out.

Hi, help please! I had made a successful call on 9/27 with an agent who said she would credit $150 but that it would be sent to back office and take up to 5 business days. It's been 5 days, I called back and account services refuses to honor. In fact, they had said the note said that the offer was declined!!! Sprint has outright lied about this! I called back 2x and both times the supervisors refused to to provide the discount and refuse to recognize the fact that Sprint agent has made a mistake.

Any ideas on what to do?

Well after 3 calls and 1 email... still denied. Heres the latest email response from today....

The online price of HTC Touch Pro 2 is $349.99 (after mail in rebate

the reason it has a high price.

I understand other providers are offering this at low price. I would
like to share that every service provider have the different policies
for the handsets price as well as for the plans compatible with the
