+1 on the Hondas!! I've got an 04 Accord Sedan EX V6 ... bone stock. Can't complain too much, 240hp & good gas mileage. Gotta love Hondas!

Re: Check my math: Cost to move from a TP2 to an Evo

that $20/mo service credit is a nice add on to that plan you have there. That definitely adds up.

I did a quick search on slickdeals and found this thread regarding the Everything Plus Data and Any Mobile Anytime Referral Program. 500 minutes for 59.99. It's another employee referral program so I doubt any corp. discounts would be allowed. Depending on how the corp discount is applied it could or could not save me a few bucks a month. One benefit is the 50 extra minutes over the plan in my OP and could be another option for switchers who don't have any corp discount to apply.

Has anyone made the jump from SERO to the new Referral Program? It looks like android phones are allowed.

Re: Check my math: Cost to move from a TP2 to an Evo

i'm also in the same boat switching from a SERO 500 to a regular 450 minutes and applying a 23% corp discount. Try wirefly.com to get the EVO 4G. they have a $50 cashback (through bing cashback) going on with any new phone purchase and no tax in most states, so you can potentially save up to $90 total like in my case.

to find the link for the bing cashback just search "wirefly" with bing and make sure your ad blockers are off, it should be at the top of the links.

pt
discounts have always been base plan only, which is why I like the SE plan. It gives me a better discount.

Well, if I go to a regular plan and give up SERO, I should qualify for the yearly upgrade perk. Yes, it does require you to keep re-upping your contract, but it's still a significant benefit for those that like to upgrade frequently (as long as you think Sprint will continue to offer a good phone lineup). So that should be in the math somewhere too. Basically, at the end of every year, you have the choice of:

1. Staying with what you have for another year at no cost.
2. Upgrading to something new from Sprint at the new customer price.
3. Paying the pro-rated fee ($120 @ 12 months) to leave early and get another carrier's new customer price. For most smart phones, that $120 is still less than the discount you got for the contract, so if you want another carrier's phone badly enough, that's a fair price to pay.
