Please post links to download the software and, if you don't mind, instructions on how to load it in baby steps. Unfotunately, I'm new to all this and a total newb.

Thanks again.

shure, just goto this thread where I posted here:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...=1#post1724177

Only a matter of time now before other cooks update the HTCmessenger.

Goto first page thread and flash his rom.
EDIT: It is only the "no mms" version
Look to sticky threads in upgrade section for how to flash.
Its easy after first few times

i know its not exactly the solution you are looking for, but it works, and i am sure instead of smschat you can use it to open WM sms if you know the .exe and cmd.

link to xda for any interested. i am on sprint stock 6.5 and it works perfectly for me...

If you're against us, then please just move on.

If we don't find a solution to this issue, I'm going to move to Android and be done with MS and this forum anyway.

why do you always bump this thread? obviously by now no one has found a solution.. not to mention you're very demanding. if you move on to android no one's gonna give a mouse fart if you do.

And that attitude is why no one cares to help.

LOL that sounds pretty demanding to me big guy..

this forum is to find a solution.. not to demand undeserved help.

Re: Sprint's 6.5 forces you to use "HTC messaging" over "WM messaging". Is there a fi

while browsing other rom threads to compare,
I have to say that the newer HTC messaging is sweet and alieviates the need to want to disable.
I have been trying other roms for the newer versin but havent found it yet on other than Zone rom, but it is only on the "no mms" version and I havent tried any arcsoft installs yet.

Prob this coming weekend we will see more new roms to try.
I am pretty much sold on Sense2.5 now that I have experienced the more advanced version HTCmessaging.

Re: Sprint's 6.5 forces you to use "HTC messaging" over "WM messaging". Is there a fi

Am I missing something or is it this easy?

All I did was make one of my homescreen shortcuts "Text" from the list of shortcuts and when I get a new message, I just tap it and it takes me to my WM text inbox. From there I just click on the message and I have threded messaging and can reply.
I use the HTC tab to get a quick look at my messages but if I want to reply, I just hit my "Text" shortcut on the homescreen.

Hope that helps.

David
