yep, that works for me too and does pretty much the same thing my suggestion above does. (1 finger tap vs 2)

And>>> How about sliding open the Keyboard and tapping the SMS/MMS button just to the left of the space bar?

Prob this coming weekend we will see more new roms to try.
I am pretty much sold on Sense2.5 now that I have experienced the more advanced version HTCmessaging.

As always, thanks for posting.
Please post the links to the TP2 ROMs you recommend with the new HTC messaging when you get a chance.
Thanks.

I'm brand new to this stuff and I'm kinda worried about using anything other than a BIG name like MightyMike. But if you recommend it, I'll try it.

Thanks DAVE and THROWED.

I have been using the "Text" quck tab on the home screen from the beginning as well,
But, I would like to be able to text from "My Favorite People" and from "COntact Cards" as well.
Basically, HTC messaging in the stock ROM just plain sucks.

Sorry you feel that way.

The experts say that a communicator is responsible for the way his communication is received. So, I apologize you got that impression.
But, you're taking my posts that were written sincerely with a friendly tone and reading it in some negative tone in your head that wasn't intended.

Yeah, I thought about that after I posted but rally have forgotten about it for texting. I use favs for making calls though.

I've found that once I open a new text window and just start typing the name, its pretty much just as quick.

I don't use contact cards so I didn't think about missing that feature.

I too would like to see what the new HTC messaging has to offer.

I was all about flashing ROM's on my TP but still haven't found one that I'm ready to flash on my new TP2 so I'm looking forward to "what may be coming this weekend" too.

Peace,

David

Sorry. His link was just a post in a thread. I didn't realize the ROM was in the first post of that thread, which I pasted below. But, razorloves is on patrol. Thank you.

BIG THANKS to Zone23 for cooking his ROMs !!!!!!
BIG THANKS to Maxx134 for help in this thread too.

The Zone23 ROMs that Maxx134 recommended is running a version of SENSE that fixes a lot of the issues that are addressed in this thread.
Now that the text issues are resolved, I'm reminded of how much I don't like the "contact cards" in SENSE and how hard it makes doing simple tasks like viewing/editing contact notes.

<Rant>

I just read all the posts in this thread just to completely appreciate the stupidity of tt c6.

You do realize that this IS NOT an official HTC website, correct? We are all here to help each other. Do NOT make demands, do NOT bump a thread 50 times. Common courtesy man. If you're not happy with your phone, WinMo, or HTC, sell your phone and buy an iPhone so other people can control what you can and cannot do with your phone.
