Sprint's 6.5 forces you to use "HTC messaging" over "WM messaging". Is there a fix?

i have posted once before offering the solution of using SSMaHo as a means of using a different application for SMS.
it does require a bit of set up and reading the instructions on the first few posts...but it lets you change almost any link in sense...i use it to open smschat when i click on a msg or on the all message softkey on my sms tab, and to open funcontacts when i click all contacts on the people tab. i also use it to open resco photo when i click on albums on the photo tab and used to open weatherbug when i clicked the weather on the home tab, but cookies 1.7 now takes care of that one.
i know its not exactly the solution you are looking for, but it works, and i am sure instead of smschat you can use it to open WM sms if you know the .exe and cmd.

do it. can you film the whole thing? id really like to see it, as i see people threatening this all the time, but have yet to see a single smqshed tp2. im waiting though.

I am on latest ZoneRom now and it is using similar or better version of HTCmessaging posted below
It has so many options and:
I CAN COPY AND PASTE TEXT just holding my finger down without going into menus.
The send button is now where classic WM messaging was.
Hopefully it will not slow down as well.
EDIT: NO MORE loosing messages when going out unfinished.
When you come back to person, the message still there to send out!

HTC seems to be stepping up to the plate as this version is nicer.

Please post links to download the software and, if you don't mind, instructions on how to load it in baby steps. Unfotunately, I'm new to all this and a total newb.

After reading 15 pages and a few cabs mentioned its sad to see that this doesn't have a concrete solution yet.

I was going to resurrect this thread too but when it seem like no one wants to solve this issue and people are getting hostile I kind of just moved on.
