Re: *****hspl***** is there support for it anymore?

It could be because I unlocked the 1st day hspl was released (actually 2 days before) but didn't they upgrade the hspl from the 1st release.

Anybody have time or ability to test this one way or another?

If we can pinponit what exactly the Unlocker is marking as it's point of reference for the process, we can work from there on a workaround.

Man, I have to return my TP2 because of the blue spot problem. Now I'm scared to do it. I really like the custom ROMs.

If we can pinpoint the physical machine as the point of reference, mac address, ip, etc, then we could use a virtual machine. They say not to use one, but I've used VMware Player to unlock and flash all my phones, including my TP2 last week. Microsoft's SysPrep tool could be used to generate new machine SID, or use a local mac address spoofer on the host or vitual machine to fool it each time. (http://www.klcconsulting.net/Change_MAC_w2k.htm)

If it's phone based, then getting the MSL or other information that can be temporarily changed during the call-home unlock procedure would be possible.

There's also the possibility of packet sniffing exactly where/what is being sent to their network in order to spoof the "call back" service. We used to setup local TFTP servers to fool cable modems to load their config locally and then reconnect them back to the cable in order to get unlocked data speeds.

Like rhodium500 pointed out to me is that was probably a test hspl and not the final release that may be why I was able to unlock 2. But I Dont use use that one anymore, I last used the one off of the website.

Re: *****hspl***** is there support for it anymore?

I totally agree with you Rainfreak! I am one of the people who have complained here about not being able to get support. I did not pay the donation( It plainly states that you get to unlock 1 phone for free!!!) and was unable to unlock my phone. I don't know if it matters but the firewall on my computer popped up(yeah I know I should probably have turned it off) so I turned it off and tried again and got the message that I had already used the unlocker and would have to pay to unlock my phone. I submitted a "ticket" and have not heard anything from them. And paying or not if they are not going to support their "product" and maintain their site there needs to be a disclaimer stating that "support is no longer available"

My biggest concern here is that they take money from people and promise support but do not provide it. I just thank God and everything holy that I don't have top go through this crap with Android devices.
Gotta disagree with you here P. Yes they did us a favor and that is great BUT they put it out there and they do state that problems should be directed to their site where you can submit a "ticket" to get support. Therefore they ARE responsible and should respond. If they are not going to do this then they should not be still collecting "donations" for their so-called service as it is completely unethical and just a plain rip off to continue to take money. And honestly I do not have a charge card to pay whatever their so-called donation fee is.

The site works and I'm positive its user error. We're the ones who need hspl and they didn't sign up to be sitting in front of a computer waiting for people who can't help themselves. So basically because they don't have time to monitor the website would you rather them take it down and no one gets hspl? I'm also glad I have a nexus and a custom rom isn't necessary like with winmo 6 so I'm fortunate as well but I still have my tp2 and like I've said I've unlocked 4 different ones with no problem. Honestly though each donation is roughly $15.
By the way it is no longer a "Donation" if it is mandatory to receive what is offered....

I thanked you, not for agreeing with me, but for including the ability to listen to the proper pronunication of the word donation, within the definition.

Re: *****hspl***** is there support for it anymore?

It was mandatory Donation to pay for the Security Sim Unlocker. From the download link sent to me.

Unlocker Download

You have already unlocked this device - if for some reason you need to download it again, please go back to the unlocker page and CONTACT US via the support link.

As stated before the device (HTC TP2) was never unlocked because the Hard SLP that came with the Security Sim Unlocker would not work and I had to use a newer version.
