Check to see if "UseSystemTimeAsRecvTime" is set to 1
if its "0" or again not even in your registry then the dll is working like it should

if OEM\SMS is not there. then ziggy471's workaround is not intsalled. if its set to "0" then that cab worked.

im on stock sprint rom and i did the reg edit to make it use the current time on the device for texts, not the network to solve my 2016 problem... what do i change to make it go by the network time again and would i have to hard reset? im curious to know if it really fixes it...

change the registry setting back to 0
then install mikes cab in this post: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...2&postcount=32

ok i uninstalled ziggy's patch then soft reset, Then i installes the new cab and soft reset again the oem/sms is gone and i tested and sent a text to myself and it's showing proper date and time, so i think it worked and I'm using sprint's original stock rom.

removed the registry edit, soft reset, installed cab from mighty mike, soft reset (part of cab)....everything is working fine.

I can confirm this is working as well.

Testing scenario:

1. Remove Ziggy Fix/Workaround (soft reset)
2. Had friend send in test text - confirmed it came in from 2016
3. Installed Mike's cab (soft reset)
4. Had friend resend text - came in from TODAY

I have the VZW 6.5 MR1 and it's fixed although VZW doesn't show the year unless it's a few days old. If it comes in now it just says "Today" with the current time. MM War showed the year even if it just came in.
