I get an error on install "Incorrect device or version or prviously installed. This hotfix will only support HTC Touch Pro 2 ver 1.21.651.3 . 0x30" and it wont install... I am assuming this is due to what engrz has set has his rom version info???

I assume that with this fix you would then be able to see the correct time a sms was sent to you again.. with the ziggy fix you are seeing the time your phone received the message... which could vary if your phone is off for awhile or out of network coverage and you want to know when someone sent you that message not the time your phone received it..

is there anyway to install this without having to hard reset?

The ziggy cab is not a fix it is a workaround. All it does is put the time and date on the text from when it was received by your phone. The phone is supposed to show when the text was sent. The official patch does this.

Try to uninstall the ziggy cab and then install this, but according to HTC techs you have to hard reset first, uninstall doesn't work.

The cab did not work for me. I have Juicy R6 installed and it told me the "incorrect device"

+1 here. Same error message running SSK 3.1 (WM 6.5).

I haven't installed the Ziggy fix.

Ok let me just explain this to everyone, this is the official fix for the OFFICIAL stock rom, so it is not going to work on custom roms.
