i already have it decompiled.

i'm unsure if a .cab install will overwrite the rilphone

well here it is. Won't require a hard reset, although I'm also not sure if it will even allow you to overwrite the rilphone.dll

I really dont want do a hard reset, I will uninstall the Ziggy fix and install the new fix...

the cab didn't fix mine, im running sprint rom and my texts are still 2016 -.-

So I installed the cab and my coworker sent me a test text, the text came in as today. But how can I be sure it's really working?

you know how to look into the registry? Go here: HKLM\Software\OEM\SMS\
and look for "RecvTimeStamp" check to see if its set to 1

if OEM\SMS is not there. then ziggy471's workaround is not intsalled. if its set to "0" then that cab worked.
if its not there or showing a 0 then the dll is working like it should.
