I read the prior posts, but wasn't clear on it. For example, when I was reading through there was a cab posted that might work on cooked ROMs. I guess it didn't work for the guy who was testing, but a rar file was left there. I wasn't sure if that rar file is another possible fix or what its purpose is...

now im not getting my txts messages and i used mightymikes cab

Stock Sprint. Installed the .cab from the first post, reset, and now my texts are dated right. It did not, however, fix my previous texts (they're still dated 2016).

I went through and deleted all 2016 texts but they're still populating the touchflo message page (even though they're gone from the messaging folder).

Just a question... did the official fix work on any cooked 6.1/2.1 or 6.5/2.1 cooked ROMs?

Is it possible that the fix is looking at the WinMo version and Sense version?

It's looking at ROM version. If you don't run the stock rom, it won't work. It's easy enough to extract the files in the cab and just manually copy them to /windows. Mike already posted a rar of the extracted files some pages back. I just copied rilphone.dll and CorrectSMSFix.exe to /windows and am having no issues on my diamond.
