So what is everyone with a cooked ROM doing? Just waiting for chefs to cook new ROMs and running the ziggy fix? Or is there some way to get this onto a cooked ROM?

I am on stock Sprint ROM still (for now) and I installed the cab and it fixed all of my 2016 texts to the correct year. And the dates on TF3D are fixed too, for weeks now I have had 2016 dated messages as the only ones I would see there, now its back to normal.

I had never installed Ziggy's fix, I had made the reg change manually and then removed the reg entry today before installing the official hotfix.

quick question, and sorry if this has been touched on, would I be able to uninstall Ziggy's back up the phone with SBC Backup, hard reset, install OEM patch, then restore backup with no ill effects?

well i installed the cab and it restarted after and i see the 2016 still... am i doing something wrong? mines a stock rom win mo 6.1 please help meeeeeeee lol

CorrectSMSFix.exe will fix sms messages already on your phone with the 2016 date. It an .exe that runs on your phone. I didn't have any 2016 sms, so it said none needed to be fixed...but I assume if I did have texts from 2016, it would change them to 2010.

Did you try just extracting the cab and copying rilphone.dll to /windows? I'd use the cab from HTC's website. I think the cab/files posted by Mike were from a different source (though they might be the same, I haven't checked). If it messes up your ability to send SMS, just delete rilphone.dll from /windows and you'll be back to the ROM version you were using.

Not caring lol. Yeah itd be nice to have a fix, but I hardly care at this point. Even if Mike cooks it into an update, I doubt Im reflashing. Its just not worth it to me

Maybe a stupid question, but...am I to assume this patch will work for us USCC Tp2 users running the "as delivered" WM6.5/2.1?
