Do you need CorrectSMSFix.exe? I'm not seeing that in the rar posted earlier in this thread. There is a registry entry file though. Do you need to make the regedits if you hard reset (and it's not cooked into the ROM) or is that only if you had previously installed the ziggy work around?

I installed the fix on the stock ROM and got interesting results.

All the texts that I received up to 1/10 were fixed with the correct date.

I have 5 texts date 1/11/16 - 1/14/16. Those weren't fixed.

@03LXV6 ... I am guessing that is why HTC wants you to do a hard reset, because it may not completely fix the previous texts, but the point is to fix future texts.

okay so this was one half-assed hotfix...im having the same problem as 03LX..all texts up to the 10th were changed to the correct date but everything else is still 2016 plus it didnt change the dates on touchflo..so now every text that comes in doesnt show up on touchflo anymore because it thinks its older than the texts that are still dated 2016

So delete your 2016 texts.

well considering i have a couple hundred of them i would kinda like to avoid that..i shouldnt have to delete them in the first place

I am running the stock ROM with TP2 clean up cab and a few other minor cabs. Uninstalled Ziggys work around, soft reset and installed the official HTC fix. Everything is gravy and dated perfectly. Thanks for the heads up.

Here's the text from the HTC Sprint TP2 fix:
How to copy the hotfix to the device

1. Download the hotfix below and save it to the desktop of your PC
2. Verify you have installed and configured the Activesync or Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC) software
3. Place the Touch Pro2 in Airplane Mode by navigating to Start > Comm Manager and tapping on Airplane Mode
4. Connect the Touch Pro2 to your PC using the supplied USB cable
5. In Activesync, tap on Explore to bring up the File Explorer window. For WMDC, tap on File Management then Browse the contents of your device.
6. If using WMDC, double click on the device memory folder that appears in the File Explorer screen. This is usually depicted by a backslash icon. Next, double click on My Documents.
7. Drag and drop the hotfix file from your Desktop to the File Explorer window

How to install the hotfix on the device

1. On the device, tap Start > File Explorer
2. Locate the hotfix file and single tap on it to install
3. Follow the onscreen prompts to install the hotfix
4. Reboot the device per on-screen instructions to finalize installation
5. After the device reboots, take the device out of Airplane Mode by navigating to Start > Comm Manager and tapping on Airplane Mode

NOTES ON THIS HOTFIX

* This hotfix will need to be reinstalled if the device is hard reset. Also, the hotfix cannot be installed again until the device is hard reset.
* If any software was installed to bypass the MCTS functionality of the device, the device may need to be hard reset prior to this hotfix being installed.
