Uh, there are PLENTY of people who think T-Mobile is better than sprint. Again, xda is no more biased than this forum. So if you are going to discredit xda for being gsm biased, then you can't use this forum as proof either when it is equally biased to the other side. You want to get passed the bias, look at the millions of people leaving Sprint every quarter, and the millions joinng T-Mobile every quarter.

No matter what you say, you can bet that if these millions of people didn't have good coverage, there is no way they'd staying with T-Mobile. No matter how good the customer service is, nobody is going to pay every month for a phone that they can't use. Anbd these are the unbiased facts.

Sprint's investment in WiMax actually has less to do with a desire to roll out a 4g network than a desire to not lose valuable Spectrum. Sprint had a bunch of unused Spectrum that the FCC said they would take away from Sprint if they didn't use it. Sprint decided to utilize it with the deployment of a commercially ready 4G technology.
Uh, Wimax is also not an approved 4G standard either. And the fact remains that they are claiming to be the only ones in the world who can change between them without a change in hardware. You mean to tell me the first people who laid it out are the only ones who made such a flexible network? Nobody else in the world could look at what they did and emulate it?

LOL, laughable that anyone would believe that nonsense.

tmobile is capitalizing on a certain market, which is what every company should do. tmobile doesn't have the majority of high end customers or business users. My point is i travel alot and i know voice serive for tmobile is spotty there is no way in hell i'm getting that, the majority of the US doesn't cross states that often, so if i live in an area where tmobile gets good service and i don't travel that much, of course i'm going to go with tmobile because they have the cheapest plans. the fact that you're even trying to say that tmobile has as good service as sprint is beyond me and tells me that you must not travel that much or you're just playing devils advocate because you've said their plans are cheaper, now you're saying their voice service is better, so why the hell do you have a sprint phone?

So then you are claiming that only people in the states know that CDMA is technologically superior to GSM? It's a big secret that nobody else in the world understands?

Or are you saying the people at xda aren't technologically knowledgable enough to know this or something?

wow salty, you really don't know what you're talking about. the reason other coutries didn't go with cdma over gsm has alot to do with geographics and the infracture of how that country is set up. in other countries it wouldve been alot harder to set their infracture up with cdma technology so they went with gsm towers and technology. their are alot of underlying factors that I will not get into.

You're crazy. The comments that rorytmeadows posted from the very link that sporklover posted pretty much summed it up. Nobody with any knowledge on this believes that nonsense about them being the only carrier in the world who can change with a software upgrade overnight. LOL, ridiculous.

Honestly, GSM vs. CDMA will only get you so far anymore. As soon as carriers shift their phone service onto their data systems, it won't matter. Oops, oh wait, they're doing that next year in the UK!
