Because my friend, most of the innovative phone technology is being implemented overseas where GSM is prevalent. CDMA is superior to GSM in many ways, but has not flourished due to proprietary coding and the already flourishing GSM "flashy phone" market. -And on topic: I am not planning on moving to the HD2. The screen is pretty, but just too big for my taste. It's something about having to switch from a phone holster to a briefcase that turns me off...
