Is Sprint still giving out refur'ed MOGULs? - Page 43

I just went to my local Sprint store (SA, TX) this Saturday because my phone wouldn't register the slide for the keyboard; they looked at it and said they would order me a refurb 6800 due in some time this week. After I got the original phone back, it wouldn't turn on; they looked at it again and got it to power on but the screen wouldnt come on. So they were going to give me a crappy flip phone loaner until the refurb came in and wouldn't upgrade me. Luckily while waiting to fill out the paperwork the screen finally came on. Trying to hold out on using my upgrade for when the TP2 comes out...

oh and for the advanced exchange website.. still showed the 6800 as the replacement... i used 58348 as the zip

like a couple others have posted...I just got my new Touch Pro instead of the Mogul as a replacement (lost phone). It looks like a nice phone but I am selling it and holding out for a Pre or a TP2.

The title says is SPRINT still giving out refurbs. Some of you all are talking about Asurion giving you the Touch Pro after you paid them $100. Big difference. Sprint replaces phones with software defects, Asurion replaces anything from lost phones to damaged by user phones, etc... Sprint is still giving out refurbs as far as I know in most places in the country but some places are getting Touch Pros as free replacement...

Took my phone into a Sprint repair center today, and they ordered me another Mogul. Refurb. Was not aware they are still issuing refurbished Moguls. My wife did an advanced replacement over 6 months ago and got a touch pro. She got hers though before they started making you go into a repair center.

Advanced replacement is even still giving out PPC 6700(Apache) for replacements of the 6700 as well.

after having a refurb mogul replacement for 2 months, the wifi completely died and the white dot on the lower left popped up and started to grow. the sprint repair store replaced it with another refurb mogul but this time the replacedment was already damaged out of the box. the sliding screen was not flush with the keyboard while closed. it also came with the white dot out of the box which i noticed right away. anyone notice that these replacements are not even coming back with the original screens. why is sprint giving out unexceptible and unreliable devices? im expecting to get another crapp replacement today. will i be able to upgrade to a touchpro for 100 bucks if i decide not to accept the next replacement mogul?

In the last week, I've received two refurb moguls in a row with keyboards (internal) that don't type consistently. This is to replace a refurb mogul that I got two months which had crappy reception. Originally it was to resolve a problem where the slide would cause a lockup. I'm just about to escalate the problem and demand something that works.

At this point Sprint has a ton of old Moguls that they are just trying to shell out on people to get rid of them. Unfortunately the only ones left are likely going to have a defect of some sort. I got a scratched up one yesterday so I brought it right into the store and had them order another. I will keep doing so until I get either a new one or a touch pro. I suggest everyone to do the same. I refuse to go through assurion and pay for a new one because I did not break my mogul or lose it - sprint may get annoyed with me but I could care less

Hey guys,

My phone has been acting weird lately.. freezing, hard to press the hard buttons and now I can't even make a phone call. So, I'm bringing it in to sprint tomorrow.

My questions are:
What are you guys saying to get new/replacement phones? I would love the PRO.
Do you need insurance?
I have a old no2chem flash on my phone but the phone is completely frozen, will that be ok?

are you going to sprint store? do you have insurance?

today i went to the location where sprint cust service told me to go to get phone repaired because my call button doesnt work and keyboard is funky like everyone knows. and the guy told me the dont fix it there they need to send it to manufacturer and it will cost 100.... said blah blah blah more abt i can upgrade but i need to pay etc. how are you going about getting a refurb i would like one.
