Is Sprint still giving out refur'ed MOGULs? - Page 41

i have a couple questions about how i could get my mogul swapped. i do not have insurance on my phone(i tried adding it but it had been longer than 30 days). its definitely having issues, as i can only make phone calls 1 out of 10 times i try and the earpiece doesnt seem to work for incoming calls. on top of that the send button doesnt work.

what would be the best route to get a new phone? preferably the TP. go to a tech support center? or advanced exchange? and if i do use AE how much will i be paying without insurance?

Maybe no sprint stores in your area? It is pretty weird, it can be so many things.

I have plenty of sprint stores in my area. LOL. After I put my number in and stuff they don't ask for a zip code, they use the address on my account, which would be the sensible way to do it for everyone but I don't know...

Well I finally had to take my mogul in because of the keys sticking and not working. They looked at it and said there was corrosion inside. I told them that I got this from asurion a few months ago and it had not been exposed to liquid. I called asurion and told them that they were sending out refurbs without cleaning the corrosion off of them and they told me that they would only bill me $50 and give me free saturday delivery for a replacement. The replacement is going to be a touch pro. I am kind of exited and kind of upset. I invested in a 2400mAh and 3000mAh battery for this mogul. On a brighter side the confirmation email they sent me says htc touch pro fully new kitted so I won't have to buy all of the accessories.

Right now, if you go online it is open enrollment for TEP this month. So go add it and then swap it with Advanced Exchange.

just talked with a sprint rep online and explained to her that i went to the repair center a bunch of times and all they do is hard reset the phone and give it back (which really is what they do to mine every time), she told me she would give me a $100 "good will" credit and called assurion to see which phone i would be getting, the then told me i would get a brand new touch pro and had me call assurion to place the order.

a couple minutes with assurion and next thing i know they offered me a brand new (not refurbished) touch pro just like the sprint rep said.

i should be getting it in 2 days (by Thursday) and i need to send my mogul back within 60 days of receiving the touch pro.

in the end i get a touch pro without spending a dime

wow, you got lucky... $100 credit just like that. You must be in contract. i think I never had any luck with them because I am out of contract LOL.

For the others. I am beginning to think Sprint will sent out refurbished Moguls until they start sending out refurbished Touch Pros, LOL

yes i am in a contract, but i think i got the credit because i have 7 lines on my account (sprint wont allow that on any new contracts)
i was surprised to see the credit was applied to my account within an hour of talking to the rep.

my new TP with all of its accessories will be here tomorrow morning/afternoon. CAN'T WAIT!!
