Sprint Mogul Out of Stock?

I just got an automated call from Sprint telling me that I should get my phone no later than the 26th...

I was just told by a CSR that the timeframe is indeterminate still and that they are having problems with the phones. He referenced that as the reason they were taken off the website. He called sales for me at my request to get more information for me, but came back with the conclusion that there is no timeframe.

He also offered to replace my Mogul with a Touch, and I declined due to Rev. A support and the lack of a keyboard. I am wondering why it is I did not receive a call about the backorder status and receiving one on the 26th. I hope that this applies to all who have ordered a Mogul.

Please keep us all updated if anyone else has the chance to call. Thanks!

My mogul was on backorder but It seems like it was delivered to my house today. Counting the hours till I get home to unpack my new toy.

I guess the rep was telling me the truth when he said they did get a shipment in earlier this week, but not all the orders were filled before they went out of stock again.

I wouldnt get to excited. you may open up the package and see a Touch. It seems there are no Moguls instock. and that I have been told that a Touch is being sent to me as well, should be here soon..... Its going straight back to them. I told them not to send me one, but they said they couldnt stop it, even though they still didnt ship it out.

Not to offer conflicting information, but I'm just passing on what I was told. I spoke to another lady at Sprint today, this one in the sales department, and she told me that they are indeed loading the new 3.35 ROM onto each Mogul (and this is the reason for the delay) because so many people had been screwing up their phones by trying the upgrade on their own. Sprint knows it is less expensive for them to simply delay the sales of more Moguls until the ROM is loaded on all new models before they're sent out. This probably won't take any longer than a week or so she said before they're caught back up again.

She did tell me that because of this they have been told to suspend all sales of the Mogul and that consequently it was also taken off their website. Either way, if she's correct, it sounds like this really isn't anything other than a minor delay that should be ending by probably next week sometime at the latest.

I certainly hope this is true anyway. I personally live in Louisville, KY (where they ship all the phones from), so I may be one of the first to get my Mogul of the people who ordered last week!

Of course, if anyone else has any additional/conflicting information, I'm sure we'd all love to hear it. Thanks!

Lets hope that is not the case. I already have a touch that they sent me while I waited for my mogul.

I think its just backorder Mogul is here to stay and with new rom people are buying that phone.
