Re: Navizon - Get paid to use your GPS w/ the 6800!

Edit: okay, had enough of this latest update. It keeps freezing on me.Stops recording everything. I have to reset to get it active again several times per day.

Anyone have the .cab for the previous version? I deleted mine...

When I tried to unzip the cab I got an invalid or corrupt folder error message. Thanks for uploading it though.

Re: Navizon - Get paid to use your GPS w/ the 6800!

I will likely be going back to 3.5.1.2, as 1.3 is very frustrating.

anyway as requested I have uploaded some previous versions, actually all 3.5.x versions are now in my ftp folder.

Re: Navizon - Get paid to use your GPS w/ the 6800!

How do you manage to get so many rewards. I've been running this program straight for the last full month, since the 20th of July and just now got my first reward!

Secondly, I have a sprint Mogul. Do I need to go into phone settings and change it to ROAM to find more towers?

yea, that first on seems to take forever especially if you not collecting cells.
well, it looks like TOV is the master at rewards, and it really depends on how much driving/biking/walking you do.. the slower you move the more wifi's you'll pick up... helps control the speed demon in me
and at the moment on sprint, I can drive a loop through 3 counties an only pick up like 3 cell towers... obviously there's more than that, but I think it has to do with how sprint does it's data connection (even if your not using data) so yes, I get far more when set to roam. (make sure you run it in OFFLINE mode, sprint has 300kb roaming data limit now...i think, but don't want to find out the hard way)

warning=== latest version collects too many cells, so you won't see all on the phone registering on the server

you'll never make a living off this, but it's bought me an extended battery, and 4gb card, to name a few "toy's" to reward my phone for all it's hard work.

Re: Navizon - Get paid to use your GPS w/ the 6800!

shaggy have you ever tried a DCD rom to see if there's a difference? I'm using DCD, just a thought

Oh did you ever confirm if 1X collects more than evdo? also I believe data is disabled with 1x.

Re: Navizon - Get paid to use your GPS w/ the 6800!

nothing I've been able to do has made any difference except roaming.
I've played with epst, qpst, ect.. but kinda hard with out a verizon version to compare too. (if anyone want to walk me thru flashing my mogul or apache to verizon, I could get a better feel of what navizon is looking for when it collects a cell.)

also, do any verizon users notice a difference in the # of cells collected with evdo enabled/disabled?

no, I haven't ran a DCD rom for a quite a while, and every time I think I ready to , I get confused which ver I should run... (I only have time to follow 1 dev, closely.)
also really like my wifi swich running s2u2.
the other rom I really want to try is that wm5 one for the titan.

Re: Navizon - Get paid to use your GPS w/ the 6800!

So far I have noticed no diff between 1x and evdo for collecting cells. I still haven't tried the roaming hack, as luckily (sorry Shaggy) verizon users don't seem to have the same problem.

As Shaggy noted the newest version will tell you it has collected way more towers than it really has.

And no, you won't get extra rewards for them.
