Maybe tort reform should start with you?
well you obviously missed the whole point....if sprint is knowingly selling phones that will not work in a roaming situtation and do not have a fix for it then yeah they can be held liable. and remember i wrote the techs at the store tried 4 other moguls and had the same problem and had no solution...it shouldn't be on the consumer to get the problem fixed....and not only that a customer who is not aware of the problem until they need to make that all important possibly life saving phone call and can't because sprint does know the problem exist but only fixes it on a as the customer complains policy...but oh yeah wait there own techs don't all know how to fix the problem....

so in short calling tech support won't always fix the problem....i have an open ticket for the last week and they call every day asking me to check my phone and guess what they still don't have it fixed...

Re: Roaming Issues on ALL Moguls

Black06c230,
Have you tried asking for the HLR reload? The reason why I ask is that your situation was very similar to mines they had no clue how to fix it either. They open up a ticket for me as well and told me that they'll check to see if there something wrong with the service in my area. Even the advance tech didn't know right away to try the HLR reload. They only did it only after I mention that alot of others who had this problem claimed that this fixed the problem.

Re: Roaming Issues on ALL Moguls

I been having this problem since last week...I reprogrammed my phone and everything and it didn't do a thing...When i called sprint TS they said that part of the system was down and they couldn't do anything for me and would get back to me...they never did but the woman told me that my number might have to be re-added to some list to be able to roam again...She said that someone else had called in with the same problem.

Check this thread out... seems its actually on verizon's end and not sprint's

Re: Roaming Issues on ALL Moguls

In my area I get a much stronger verizon signal than sprint, so I often keep it set to roaming only, and I get great results that way. Much better data connection and voice sound quality (no rev a around here, so the verizon 1x is actually better than sprint 1x). So, no, it's not a universal problem.

Re: Roaming Issues on ALL Moguls

Went through the same issue earlier today. No one knew what a PRL update and an HLR reload was till i spoke with someone in Advanced Technical Support. After the HLR reload, I could no longer get a roaming signal, he then provisioned my account for prl which updated me to 60611 (Which never worked for me btw). Still nothing. I then downgraded it to 60610 and I was able to get a verizon signal and make a call. At that point i upgraded to 60711 and it has been working perfectly since. No problems. Good Luck to you guys
