Tutorial: USB DUN with "Wireless Modem" app on HTC Mogul

Ok, I feel like a complete and utter noob but I'm erring on the side of caution. I'm trying to follow step one. Got the app and when I run the GetSPC it has an input and output area and an OK button. I thought it would just come back with the number. What am I missing here? Am I blind and not following directions?

I'm trying to make sure "phone as mobile is selected" like it says in step two.

I go to start/settings/connections/ and only Sprint PCS *777 is there.

I tried importing the files suggested in the 3rd page with no luck.

I'll try a reset and see if that does anything.

i cant get farther than that because on step 4, i only get the #777 button. can anybody help me out with this???? what do i do?

I have done this mod and I only have Sprint PCS on that tab too. Skip that step it doesn't make a difference at all. Proceed with the rest of the steps and you're up and running.

Was thinking to make a CAB that installs the files and does the reg edits, think it's worth it?

i think it is, i don't have any complications with the instructions, as a matter of fact, its very detailed, but its too long!!!

My company is just starting to look at Windows mobile, and one of the biggest problems we had was that ICS would not allow us to tether and connect to our VPN.

This 'fix' solved all of that. I just flashed my Mogul to WM 6.1 and went through the process again, and all is still working well.

My many thanks to those involved in putting this together. Not being able to tether and connect to our VPN was a huge road block.
