Re: Tutorial: USB DUN with "Wireless Modem" app on HTC Mogul

Another successful run with me. Getting ~650k DL, ~400k UL. Not as good as my 8.5MB DL university network, but this doesn't limit me to 300MB an hour and have the chance of catching me if I use Torrents.

Re: Tutorial: USB DUN with "Wireless Modem" app on HTC Mogul

Excellent thread, works great on my Bell Canada Diamond, quick question I am connected with 921kbs which seems the highest I can set my dial-up connection, but my buddy said he is connecting at 2mbs is that possible?

sounds like rev.0 also, it will say either 112kbs or 2mbs on the computer when you connect. you want it to say 2mbs even though you may not get that much speed. actually rev.A will burst up to 3mbs.
I only get rev.A at home if my phone's in the window.

Thanks for the answer Shaggylive, that's strange, so even though we are both on RevA and in the same city, and both using the Diamond with Bell, his can show something completely different.

Re: Tutorial: USB DUN with "Wireless Modem" app on HTC Mogul

yup, the speed is relative to the signal between the phone and tower(s).
where are you getting your speed from (xp or a speedtest?) speed tests are always subjective, and will vary

Not really a speed test, just checking the connection status and shows time and duration and speed.

Re: Tutorial: USB DUN with "Wireless Modem" app on HTC Mogul

i cant get the part where you dial ##3726## or whatever to work, it just flashes a window then closes it

id like to get my wmodem.exe working, i tried the stock one with kitchen in \windows\ but it wont load, so i loaded an older version of wmodem that i had backed up on my desktop but it wont work either.. any help? im using sprint.. i dont like ICS because its slower.. not even giving me Rev. A Speeds... thanks

EDIT: I fixed this, code is ##778# not ##32whatever as the OP said (for my sprint htc mogul anyways)

GET PDA Net. I have it, and it works great. It is free, and fast.
