Actually, no. This is aa very big EXE file that needs to be ran from the PC while the device is connected through ActiveSync.

There is a list with the fixes on the first post and on the HTC site. This ROM was NEVER advertised to turn on Rev A. or any kind of GPS functionality. It has always been about BT.

Worse case scenario, I believe I have the old ROM updater on my HD.

I believe that as long as you create a backup with only your contacts, it should be fine. Spb Backup runs into issue when you do a full backup with system files, registry, etc.

You will have to re-install EVERYTHING. It's just like a hard-reset, your phone will look like it did out of the box. A little different becuase of the official modifications.

I used the coarse version with no complaints.

You can try, however, there are no guarantees. I personally preffer to re-install everything manually. Backups can sometimes overwrite new system files/registry entries with the older ones that were backed up before the ROM update.

Date and time wrong - not to be concerned this is standard with new ROMs - but make sure to fix if you sync with exchange (before you sync)
It does install some crapware - you can avoid this by just soft resetting after you get pass the initial sync align and password screen.
Device Info
ROM 2.16.651.0 - newer than any other ones I've tested
Rom Date 9/3/07
Radio 1.47.00 - newer than any others Ive seen
PRL - 60610 - not usually updated with firmware
Office - I can't tell - I think it is using Office 6.0 not 6.1
TV viewer - I don't think this is included - you can download for free
Java- no update as far as I can tell on the mobile java.
Flash needs to be installed - not sure if flash is installed or not but it doesn't work properly so install flash
LiveSearch - does not appear to have the latest live search with voice recognition - free for download

Bluetooth - need a full day to say for sure but so far 2 calls and no complaints - however when calling by BT via voice command, the phone dials but then the BT connection is dropped - press it the button on headset and it works.

No significant speed differences.

I'll update more as I get further.
Thanks for the feedback.

The soft reset on initial install removed the "sprint crap." If I remember correctly, this includes the Voice speed dial software and something that has to do with audio as well - right?

Not the software, but a CPL file that makes it work. Someone actually attached it a couple of pages back. You just need to copy it to your device. Check a couple pages back for more info.

Microsoft Voice Command 1.6 and new HTC ROM

Sad to report that "Confirmation by name" and "Confirmation by number" is still not working with my Mogul and my Plantronics Discovery 665 / Jabra BT 125 - over Bluetooth. Works fine on wired headset and using my mapped button 5.

The speed dial .cpl file is posted a few posts back and you can get the "cranked up" audio file in another thread if you want it.
