This method worked for me after the 4th try. I'm running OMJ 2.2 v2.1, odexed with Netarchy 4.0.3.

Since friday, I tried the "##3282#" method at least 20 times with no luck.

Just keep trying, I kept trying while reading this thread and by the time I got to the last page I had the 1.4

I tried doing it using ##3282# --- restore several time (I have been trying all day) and have not gotten any result.

If feel your pain. Same thing here. I never get to a reboot and when I pull the battery and put it back in it just reloads the splash screen over and over and over so I have to do a nand recovery.

I have been trying the ##3282# because of it as it seems forever.

As long as you backup your rom you have nothing to loose.

I must agree with what most are posting up. The ##3282# method works for some but not all. We have seen more success with ##786#. If you read all the post you'll noticed that yourself.

I also want to confirm that I finally got 1.4 after doing process #2 couple times. I could never got process #1 to work after over 20 times and even got many errors along the way. I am on SprintLover ROM posted on 8/13/10.

Yep. I've tried many different Evos, from a few different locations, over and over, all the posted methods, and I haven't got the update yet...

Just for the record in Fort Worth I tried off and on with several ROMs at work and home and had no success with either method (##786# or ##3282#). Saw on XDA where someone had the same problem and tried with Fresh 3.1.0.1 and it worked first try.

Just tried it and boom! Worked like a charm.
