did the exact same thing you did. I was freaking out last night. but it at least let me activate again in the am. later i heard sprint had an issue last night and restored it. oh well.

It's nice sometimes having someone on the inside. Sprint wouldn't give me my msl, i tried the alogcat method and couldn't find it. Called family friend that works at a corp store. Told he i am hacking my phone and i know i shouldn't be and she happens to be at work. She gave me my msl faster than i told her i wanted it. Once wife is done using wifi tether i will be giving this a try.

after trying over and over same spot (right here in front of my computer) ..lol ...i just loaded up fresh evo 3.0.0.4 and ##786# reset ..reboot..and finally got the update 1.40.

I wasn't to concerned lol, tried a few times and went to bed. I figured if it didn't work in the morning I would call and just manually program it. I figured something was up when I tried to get on the website and it was down (that's a shock huh

).

After trying more times than I can count for the past few hours, I am giving up. Hopefully someone can come up with a way that actually works more often than not.

Is there some way to grab this after it updates and then post it for everyone else?

After so many tries that I lost count in the past 3 days. I finally got it to update with ##786# method. Never flashed any other rom besides what i had installed since rooting the phone. I'm running Sprint Lovers Rom updated 8/13/10.

Im NYC so don't give up guys just take a break and keep trying.

I've been doing MrDSL's method. So what you're saying is I should be able to ##786# from my current OMJ rom and just restore my backup files?
