It has actually been doing this for a while. Even yesterday and the day before when there was no update was available, it would just endlessly say checking.

Download it on your pc and update manually. Instructions to do so are all over.
http://liveimage.htc.com/OTA_Superso...usi9dsrr6i.zip Rename the file that you download on your sdcard to update.zip power off the unit. Hold the volume down button and power button. Go into recovory mode. then apply update.zip

this should work:
save file to phone sd card (not in any folders) rename it to "update.zip" volume down + power; go into recover; flash update.zip from sd card http://liveimage.htc.com/OTA_Superso...usi9dsrr6i.zip

I am also getting an error message when I try to update my profile. It says "the application HTC DM (process com.htc.android.omadm.service) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."

Thanks guys for replying, however, now that the file has been downloaded, where can I find the update file? I'm rooted, so I;ve checked a gazillion directoreis so far. any help would be appreciated. Thanks

OK. Got it. Noob with android. I was pretty good on the winmo platform. I just downloaded the file. Is the newest update from today, not the leaked version?

I downloaded the file, renamed it update.zip and put it on my SD card. I went into the bootloader, but where do I go from there?
I have: Fastboot, Recovery, Clear Storage, SIMlock, Hboot USB Any help?
