FroYo 2.2 Update -- Bugs & Issues - Page 36

i get very similar issues since 2.2 update, especially on the lock screen and the auto rotation is laggy also, really dont wanna do a hard reset. i used sprite on 2.1 and it didnt recover everything, but the laggyness is becoming annoying.

Im not liking Froyo at all, the constant freezing up, spontaneous rebooting, laggy performance, crappy battery life (half vs. 2.1) Flash takes too long to render internet pages. This reminds me of the issues with the TP and TP2. Im calling sprint tech support tommrw and see how they are dealing with all these issues, and maybe I'll try to claim a broken OS/ ROM & ask to replace my currnent EVO with 2.2 & get a new Evo w/ 2.1

Except the current EVO's are now coming with 2.2 loaded.

I am running 2.2 with none of the issues that you had mentioned. Have you hard reset your device? If not, I would recommend you try that. It will be worth it in the long run for the short time it will take reload everything back on your device.

froyo 2.2 worth the update? or should i stick with 2.1?

I've been too busy to keep up with evo stuff this month. I've been hearing about a lot of issues with the 2.2 update and I'm wondering if I should stick with what's working or update. I'm sticking with stock ROMs for a few more months, so please let me know which you think is better. stock 2.1 or stock 2.2... thanks

Stick with the Rooted Stock 2.1 as all the bugs have been ironed out, while 2.2 is still shaky. (My opinion)

I suppose final release flash, JIT enabling, there being like 30 roms (more than 2.1) and the awesomeness of the stock browser makes it shaky?

i've seen a huge list of bugs, including complaints of lag/slowdowns on every major evo forum, do you disagree? Stock 2.1 or stock 2.2?

Totally agree however there is no perfect Rom. It isn't possible to name an OS that has no bugs. And most bugs arise because of additional of features. So since Android 1.0 has less bugs then 2.1 and 2.2, can it be called better?
