I am not a n00b in flashing phones since I have been doing this since my APACHE days but this is the first time doing something with android. Nonetheless, Thank you for your feedback but as stated, if you were running Win7 you would see what I mean and the reason I made my post.

PS. I SEE THE EDIT TO POST #1, I GUESS THIS MEANS MY PREVIOUS POST IS OBSOLETE!! jejeje.
Thanks FASTRX8, appreciate you simplifying the method for those of us that were not able to use the previous instructions because of our retarded Windows enviroments! jejeje
It's all good Bro-Never thought or meant to imply that you were trying to create confusion.

I AM running Win7 and never had an issue.

I KNEW the tutorial would work as written and like I said IMO I thought jumping to different parts would create issues.
I also knew that Fast would be taking care of the issue with his update so I thought it best for people to stick to Post #1

I was sincere in thanking you for your contribution because I assumed you were just trying to help out.

Now it's time to get back to rockin' and rollin'

If I flash a sprint stock rom, it will completely unroot everything right? For whatever reason the recovery won't let me flash a bunch of different roms and mods. Just trying to start over.

on step 2k it tells me it cant read /sdcard/recovery.img so should i unroot and start all over again and if so how could i do that or do i do something else.
edit :nevermind i missed a step and need to start over. should i just start over from the beginning or should i do something else to get it back to the biggining and start again.

You can flash the Sprint Shipped rom. That's what I did just before starting the video.

I would suggest starting from Part 1 again.
It can't hurt. I've done these steps about 30x's between the 2 phones I have.

When I get stuck, or something I tried doesn't seem to work right, I flash the Stock Sprint Rom and start everything over.

Ok. I've been told the difficulties flashing is due to the amon-ra recovery. Or is it just one of those imperfect things that doesn't work sometimes when you root?

Re: EVO Full Root No PC or ADB|Recovery|Nand Backup/Restore|Flashing| for n00b's + Vi

Ok, Im lost here. I rooted the phone, and had OMJ's Rom on it for a while. Then I went back and did the NAND access and tried to flash the Fresh .3 Rom, it flashes fine, but it won't boot up. It just comes up Build : not set, Formatting Cache.

At this point I'd like to just start over, but I can't get the original version to flash back on the phone, won't load to bootloader, and when I manually load to bootloader the pc won't recgonize the phone. Any ideas? [-o<

Did you wipe data and dalvik before you flashed fresh?
