How much is BB giving for a trade in on a new tp2? Mine is kinda beat up, but the usb port seems to have gone out. It won't charge the battery, and theres no water damage, so I might be able to squeeze a new tp2 replacement through TEP just in time for evo launch.

highest ive seen is $177,there is a link somewhere around here where you put the condition of your device and it gives you an estimate.

just got my best buy call. Earliest I could get it was 1:30 pm on the 4th. I pre-ordered on the 21st and have no idea what place i was in line.

No call for me either. Although, I did pre-order my EVO two days late. The BB associate told me that he was 100% sure that I'd still get it on its release date b/c they only had 22 pre-orders, and I was the 23rd.

I'm not stupid, though... I know he had no real right to basically promise (saying 100%) me an Evo on release date, but I was still kinda hoping. lol

I ordered on the 21st and received my appointment call today.

They said they would match the $20 radioshack gift card when I preordered, but said today they would only give me that deal towards accessories. I don't need any accessories from best buy, so I will take the free (probably crappy) bluetooth instead. :\ Oh well, glad I will get one on the 4th.

Well I just Pre-Order mine today, will probably be getting it on the 7 or 8th.

Quick question though.

How much are the people with only the 1 year upgrade discount ($75 off) paying for it at Best Buy? The lady told me that it will be $400 plus tax in total, that the retail in Best Buy was $600. Is that right, or am I paying to much for it?

My call came like last Saturday I think. I am 9am on the 4th, but I went in and talked to one of the sales reps on Monday or Tuesday (I forget) to ask how it would work as far as people who pre-oredered and those that didn't. He basically made it seem like my phone was guaranteed, but I would have to wait in line for service. I just didn't understand, isn't the whole point of an appointment so we don't have to wait in whatever line forms? I get the feeling he wasn't much understanding what I was saying, when i told him I had an appointment he seemed like it went over his head. I am going to have my husband pick it up anyways when he gets off of work in the morning, so I figure no one will stop the fuzz from going to the front of the line

I went to the BB i ordered from and was told they are not giving appointments because they were told from sprint that BB cannot do that. BB has to do it the same way as sprint stores, first come first serve. They r still using the preorder but when u preordered does not matter. They do however have separate preorder list. 1st preorder and 2nd preorder.

Best Buy 2nd wave are going to hit stores on the 9th.

if you preordered a phone the store will get that phone. your order sheet is your claim ticket (most stores, i took names / numbers and will require ID for pickup - you need that for activation anyways)

the company knew how many phones they were getting from HTC/sprint. once first wave preorders were close to this #, they cut off first round and allocation to stores will be based on the # of preorders. so if you ordered a phone, it will be sent to your store for launch. same process for 2nd wave. some stores with LOTS of preorders are setting appointments, if a store thinks it can handle the traffic without appts, then they are not going to / don't have to make appointments. my store is booked all day. its gonna be like christmas!!! i am excited. big time! good luck to everyone and ENJOY YOUR NEW PHONE!
