Is it really? All the specs I've read say TFT and I am new to all this stuff but I know from what I read that Amoled is the newest technology and better. So I am hoping it does..

Wow, that would be great. the device in the first hands-on video that Engadget ran had a TFT. If they really changed it to AMOLED or SUPERAMOLED, they've created a legendary device.

With such a big screen, battery life is a concern. TP2 has great battery life (avg ~20 hours for me with pretty heavy email traffic) and it would kinda suck to go back to 6-8 hours usage span.

I've been looking into the HD2 battery life (looks to be around 7-8 hours), but the 4G is kindof a power drain x-factor and I have no idea how it will perform. HD2 stock size is 1500.

A friend of mine has an Incredible - i am waiting on battery feedback from him. Screen is a little smaller, battery is 1300, AND it has no 4G, but hopefully it can help shed some light on this question.

At this point there's really no reason to think it will be AMOLED. We already know HTC has a 4.3" TFT they are currently using. They also have a 3.7" AMOLED that has made appearances in every recent phone that uses that screen technology. There's no reason they couldn't include a larger AMOLED (there are even 4.3" WVGA AMOLEDs on the market), but it's pretty unlikely that they suddenly switched production to include different screens. It would also be a pretty big coincidence if they were to use a AMOLED that happened to be 4.3" just like the current TFT they are using in that size.

Plus, there's the fact that Sprint's developer site lists the screen as TFT...

The HTC EVO 4G is about the same size as the always selling out HTC HD2 from T-Mobile.
Reviews refer to the large 4.3 inch AMOLED touchscreen (larger than the iPhone) showing video as absolutely gorgeous. But I've have heard it's TFT.I don't really know the difference and some like the Amoled and I see some like TFT. I just know Amoled is newer technology I am guessing and what is Super Amoled? I don't care what it has I just want the phone..

im not telling you guys to completely shut up.. its just that is kind of annoying you read allmost every thread and by now you should know that theres been numerous threads about the screen not being amoled
