Re: HTC EVO 4G /Supersonic HANDS ON!!!
Sprints website says TFT but the link above someone posted says
The HTC EVO 4G is about the same size as the always selling out HTC HD2 from T-Mobile. Reviews refer to the large 4.3 inch AMOLED touchscreen (larger than the iPhone) showing video as absolutely gorgeous. But I've have heard it's TFT.I don't really know the difference and some like the Amoled and I see some like TFT. I just know Amoled is newer technology I am guessing and what is Super Amoled? I don't care what it has I just want the phone.. |

Re: HTC EVO 4G /Supersonic HANDS ON!!!
I don't know What you mean, sprint had the phone on display for people to see and touch in Las Vegas, so many people have seen it and they all say its tft, like someone mentioned earlier the only way is if there are last minute changes to the phones that are already out. Every ctia blogger states tft screen

Re: HTC EVO 4G /Supersonic HANDS ON!!!
Battery life concerns me too. I have owned 4 PDA phones. I have realistic expectations for battery life. On my Touch Pro, I had two external wall battery chargers with extra batteries. I used 2-3 per day.
I had a Samsung Moment (which I liked) BUT .. the battery life was beyond dreadful. I have Micro USB in my car and desk at work to charge with. Still the phone ran out of juice when I was out and about. I don't stream video or music either. I disabled pushing of emails to it. Just awful. I am waiting to get one of these. I hope it at least makes it though 2/3 of the day. I will get a spare external charger and battery to augment it. |

Re: HTC EVO 4G /Supersonic HANDS ON!!!
I just ordered my EVO and I am really concerned with battery life.
1.) Does anyone know of a registry editor and a fix for battery life? I was told of some work with other HTC phones. 2.) Also any recommendations RE other batteries which I could purchase to squeeze more life for the phone? 3.) Will Android 2.2 make a difference in battery life or only in speed? thanks for the help that said I can't wait for the EVO |

There is no "registry" in android, so you don't install cabs, and such (you can install apk files, which are application files). You will get familiar with command line stuff. supposedly, if you don't get an entire day out of your android phone, it's not because of Google. It's the 3rd party apps. At least that's what they are saying...
