Re: Did you get an Airave?
i have an airave but i got it quite a while before getting my 3vo. i just called and told them i get crap service when i am at my house whether it be inside, basement, garage, driveway, etc. but get good reception in most other areas, which is all true. they look at their coverage map and said well you are in our coverage area so we'll send you one free of charge with no monthly fees. up to 5 phones can be connected to it at any time and works great.

Lol, i tried that little upgrade trick...it doesnt work, and i spent hours trying to use it, eventually account services ended up giving me a full upgrade. HOWEVER, the airrave upgrade eligibility is illusory and when you try and put a phone on that line, the activation system doesnt know what to do with it. I tried at a sprint store, best buy, and over the phone to no avail. Transferring the upgrade to another line doesnt work either. |

Re: Did you get an Airave?
I need help getting the Airwave to work in my lab since the lab gets very little signal from the verizon tower on campus.
I cannot connect the airwave straight to the network jack because each jack is designated for a specific computer. Is there a way for the airwave to grab the network connection after the computer? I have tried connecting it between the computer and network jack by spoofing the computers mac address. Even though i get network service on the computer the airwave still does not work. |

Re: Did you get an Airave?
Throw in a network card on your computer and it can be set up for sharing to the airave. Network to computer on existing nic. From the new nic on the computer to the airave.

Re: Did you get an Airave?
I moved to Orange County NY 1.5yrs ago & I had horrible signal here. I couldn't make a call in my house at all; I could only text. After calling & complaining for two months to no avail, I left my family plan w Sprint & went to Verizon....That didn'tn last 6mths! I shared my husband's plan & the rates were ridiculous. My friend told me about Airave, I called & rec'd one in 24hrs! I also complained about the early term fee I would now have to pay with Verizon & got some $$ knocked off my next bill. To top it all off, I don't live in a $G area so can't take advantage of that feature here either. I work in NYC so I should see how it works tomorrow. Best 4G phone around & I don't live in a 4G area...that sux!!!

Re: Did you get an Airave?
I just got mine. I now have full bars on my phone!
Other than the full bars, how do you know you are using the airave? Also mine will have solid green onthe mobile light but then start flashing for many many minutes green - anyone else encountering that? Last edited by boe; 07-22-2011 at 04:30 PM. |
