Re: Problem with Sprint Picture Mail

When you call in go to Tech Support and tell them they need to reprovision the phone for picmail to work. That's what I did. It wouldn't work right away for me and the tech got pretty frustrated, but by the next morning, my pic mail was working. It's almost like once they reprovision the sprint system had to go through a reset process before it became active. Since doing this, I've had no more problems other than sometimes it can be slow.

I did all this two weeks ago and slowly but surely the pic mail is getting worse. Now I get the actual message in my inbox 7 to 8 hours later. All messages I send out say sending or pending but then if I log into the website for picmail it says it was sent. So there is something else wrong and I'm not sure what it is but it sucks. I don't think they tested the picmail application very well on this phone. Does anyone know if Touch Pro users have the same issue or if it's just related to the Diamond?

Re: Problem with Sprint Picture Mail

I'm having my own Picture Mail issues on the stock ROM.

Any PM I send usually says "Sending" for a long time. I often have to try to send another to get the first one to actually send, but then the second one stays at "Sending."

yes, touch pro has the same problem... I had zero problems with picture mail until the mass release sprint made to the other windowsmobile phone users.. its almost as if they messed up the system getting those phones going, though I'm not sure that they aren't having the same problem.

to note: I have hard reset, I have reset epst, I have called sprint and had them reprovision (Im on an everything plan so they took the plan off then added it back..so she said) no go.. the best I had was to receptions of picmail directly after hard reset but the next morning nothing worked again.

Tell tech support to drop and re add picture mail. It used to be part of data, whereas now its part of messaging. The codes with sprint's plans, are clearly the problem "most" people are having. If you look at older threads on this topic, everyone (including myself) has solved the pic mail problem this way. Even the tech support guy I got, who fixed mine, knew exactly what I was talking about.

I did that already too. I'll try it again but When I originally encountered the problem where I was receiving my picmail messages via text like on the old Winmo phones. I called and asked them to remove picmail from my account and re-add it and do an IOTA or whatever. The Tech had no problem doing so and she also had me go to the dial pad and select option and then get settings. Everything was fine for about a day or two but since then i rarely get the message in picmail inbox but when i log into the picmail account online i have new pics there. So I'm not sure what will solve the problem.

Re: Problem with Sprint Picture Mail

Since I have the everything plan can they simply remove/add picmail singularly? The gal I had on the phone couldn't do it, she said she took my plan off and put it back on but never asked me to do anything to my phone I did a update via the phone myself.. of course it came back saying there wasn't any. I also did a restore to my epst and then reupdated and tried changing my picmail password (just in case LOL). Nada. I'll call again and see if I can get something else going. This is frustrating!

Re: Problem with Sprint Picture Mail

Okay people, so after MANY calls to Sprint customer service, I finally have my picture mail working perfectly and sending and receiving in merely a minute or so rather than hours. I have made calls to Sprint and had them reprovision my data, plan, etc... They had me change settings, clear cookies, internet history, cache, etc. Nothing worked. This one setting finally seemed to work and now all is well.....I have the HTC Touch Pro so if you have the same problem, go into Camera->Advanced->Quality. This MUST be set to BASIC! After hours and hours of painstaking try's it is the only way to send your picture mail to other companies. Verizon limits their incoming photo's to 500kb. AT&T limited to 300kb. If your pictures are over this size, your wasting your and they may go through, but the other person will most likely not get them or get them hours or days later. I have found this to be working flawlessly now after changing that one setting. Please post if this worked for you!

But how would this resolve the issue of not receiving picturemail?
