Its Official Sept. 14th Release of the Diamond on Sprint!

cmon now thats just playing the little x's and oh's game. Its the 14th for the Diamond and oct 19th for the Pro its pretty much known now. The Diamond will drop on the 14th thats the date thats been reported by many many people who are in concurrence about it

IMHO, that's Sprint hedging their bets... They haven't published an "official" release date, so nobody should get their knickers in a twist if a particular date comes and goes without the phone.

Well, the 14th sounds right. Everyone including emails from Sprint are saying the 14th. but 3 emails from Sprint have told me that I will be able to get the Diamond on the 17th on the stores.

So the question then, is did they accidentally forget to include a date for the Diamond, or did they specifically exclude a date so nobody could pin them down on it. I'm saying it's the latter. I'm not, however, saying that's not going to be out on the 14th, or that it will. I'm just saying that the official word is "sometime in September".

This is not true man. Typos do happen, and just because its a typo doesn't meant they have to give it to you. They have a policy, and they follow the policy, just because they made a mistake when they were emailing him doesn't change the policy they already have in affect. He had to sign a contract, which states that he won't be eligible for 1 year and 10 months for another upgrade.

The official date is the 14th, i don't see where the confusion is. Just because the official date for the pro is the 19th, that doesnt mean every store will have it that day, that is just the publics official release date.

Sometime in september before the stores will have them in their inventory. But lets say a sprint store received them before the 14th, they wouldn't be able to sell it because the official release date is the 14th. As long as they receive them anytime after that they can sell them without getting in trouble. By saying sometime in Sep, thats just when stores should be receiving them. LIke some people are already doing, you can purchase thru evp telesales and it will ship out on the 14th, the official release date.

They changed the date. they announced it to sprint employees as the 14th but they have changed that to sometime mid september, that is the official stance from htc and sprint. this is, of course, subject to change.
