Also I just looked in the playbook and it says TBD for launch date. Nothing about 10/19

Hey... I emailed Sprint yesterday and today they got back to me. They said there hasn't been a change on the launch date and it still scheduled to be released on Sep 2 2008. I was offered a 75 credit due to my length of being a customer and a addition 75 to make me happy. LOL. Nice i guess. but at the end it does say I must come to a contract agreement. I am a SERO gRANDFATHER SO NO WAY AM I risking my serO TO SAVE 75 DOLLARS.

Damn, it is officially just in limbo with no date? I know they will get it but I wonder how long until some very smart sprint exec decides the day. Will you let us know when it changes? How often is the playbook updated? Daily? Weekly? Tuesdays? I am really getting tired of sprint and HTC. Just give us a day and stick to it no matter what that day is. Why is it such a secret. Also give me a pro date and price so I can decide what I want sprint! BTW thanks for the info boss....

It's updated weekly. I saw where the 10/19 date came from, but that date states thats when the "seed" or advocate handsets would be sent out. Which is also incorrect. I saw that slide before back in like March or April and I think it was just re-used.

The touch pro is coming though, because it states there will not be a seed program because the user experience is almost identical.

However, it is significantly easy to produce an email message that appears to be from anyone and says exactly what you want it to. I'm not saying that he did, just that email can't be conclusive proof of anything, thus neither can a screen shot of email, or a photograph of email.
