I don't know if this info is accurate as everyone has a different opinion as to whether people at Sprint know what they're talking about, but I just received this email about an hour ago.

"Dear Mr. C,

Thank you for contacting Sprint. I understand that you wish to purchase
the HTC Diamond.

We do not have any recent update regarding the release date of HTC
Diamond. The expected date of the release of HTC Diamond is September
02, 2008 as of now.

If there will be any changes in the release date of HTC Diamond, you
will be informed.

Thank you again for contacting Sprint. We appreciate your business.

Dain M."

I had originally told them that I had heard the launch was 9/2 but there was info online that it had been pushed back and if they had any info on a delay.

nah, camera is better, it shows that no "tampering" happened. its a serious PITA to correctly photoshop a non focused picture, which in this case is a good thing

yeah we had a dealers meeting yesterday with a corporate level person, someone who specifically had a meeting with Dan Hess. She mentioned a later release date. But did mention it at least.
Sadly for employees, she mentioned there is a very good chance it WON"T be available on employee plans right away, So it could still be some time before I even get one after release.

And yea, I really wanted this thing but I don't know if I can stomach $550 on a phone that's not even the top dog. If the Diamond is $550, how much will the Pro be? $800? The Mogul (which the Pro would be the successor to) is only $550.

i think the touch at one point was $499 and the Mougal was $550 or so. I think there will be a $50- $100 difference between the two. However the diamond does have 4gb internal storage memory so i think because of that, the Diamond should sell for more then the "lesser" Touch Pro since the Pro only has 256mb of storage ram thus being lesser then the diamond. Granted the Pro does support transflash, but transflash is only good for storage and not really running programs, since lets say I want to listen to my music i might have that on one transflash and now lets say while listing to music i want to use another program that is installed on a different transflash, i cant while listening to my music on the other transflash.

they probably forgot to load it with a ton of their other junk too lol

what are you talking about i can send mms, right thru my email. all i do is after the phone # i just add @sprintpcs.com or tomomail.com or what ever the phone carrier thing is. I also save it into my contacts for that person. I myself think its better that way. I can also use dashwire to upload all my pics to also, that way they are backuped......
