With that said, I still can't decide if the hardware keyboard is important ENOUGH for me. What it all boils down to is whether or not the Touch Pro is a hell of a lot thicker than the Diamond--(for Sprint.) I keep hearing that the CDMA versions are very similar in size--and if that is the case, I see no reason to get the diamond....
Good point.
I'm much better with my Apache hardware kb than with any onscreen keyboard I've tried (and I've tried a few), but I'm willing to lose it for the Diamond. If I was really hard-core, I'd wait for the TouchPro.

Sorry to harp, but it comes out later today correct? Will you still be at work to see it and post about it?

Your right.....4mm is significant when you look at it

To be perfectly honest I rarely use my mogul slide out keyboard......so now the question becomes is the add'l memory on the pro...plus microsd slot & keyboard worth the extra 4mm thickness.....decisions decisions.....guess I have a couple of months to decide

I don't think you can really compare those sizes... there is a difference between the CDMA and GSM versions for the Touch, Diamond, and Pro...

Re: the diamond is comming out on tuesday sept 2

So right now I'm on the phone with a Sprint rep and she is saying the Diamond is coming out on Sept 2, however she cannot find anything about the Touch Pro in the system at all... that just made my heart sink.

I think removing the accelerometer is a big mistake. Not only does it give the Diamond and Pro a sense of motion but it also gives sense of orientation so its not a gimick at all and allot of cool software could be created to work with it. Im sure there will be alot of programs available on XDA-Dev once they figure out how to talk to that particular driver.

Re: the diamond is comming out on tuesday sept 2

you need to ask someone that is not dealing with customers, that only deal with release dates. since everything in the stores says its not releasing on sept 2nd its prolly not going to since its less then a week away.
